  • Does Skywalker have a website or facebook page; I wanna link; HE's been a fave of mine since I first saw the detour vid.

  • Dope Isolations & flow;)

  • awesome control.

  • this, as all the Detours approach, is fresh air. Thanks

  • NICE!!!

  • Squid is an overall b-boy...amazing artist all around...this guy has not gotten publicity...but spread the word, b-boy squid is no joke.

I wish he posted more shit...but he and elsewhere both practiced together all the time...don't be fooled, a lot of elsewhere moves are inspired by Squid. He is an amazing graffiti artist, amazing tattoo artist, amazing drawing abilities and the popping element combines all his talents. His style is geometric, ticking with amazing glydes, and pioneer moves.

  • @ez2rockwit "Geometric" is a great word for it. I think it's something he and Midus got better than anyone else, that dancing is about creating shapes. Not just bopping to a rhythm.

  • Thank's for this ..

What do you think about what i've posted ? I never talk with you..

This is the first time i saw Squid, for me it's important to show this ambient for the audiences.

    See you

    Sègz'

  • if i saw a dude in the club dancing like this, i would think he was either high or possessed

  • Out of the box, hella dope!

  • Detours DVD is now downloadable from TPB.

  • Wacky ???? are you friggin crazy that's amazing !!!

  • fantastik sperimentatal

  • what are the names of these songs!!

  • I'm pretty sure the second is by the artist Jega.

  • Its kind of spasticated, elastic, liquid, robotic dance, its fantastic.

  • well him and elsewhere use to dance alot together they kind of rubbed off on each othere but alot of people in the area they are in have simular movements

  • true, i can see the similarities.

  • Man, the influence on Elsewhere is HEAVY in this. Yeah Elsewhere evolved it, but you can definitely see where he got his moves.

  • lets not make elsewhere into a one dimensional dancer, he has an arsenal. if he was influenced by squid or vice versa, its definitely only small portions of his pieces.

  • I'm not talking individual moves, but more the overall style, the abstractness and the really off-kilter way of moving.

Besides, Elsewhere himself has said that Squid was a huge influence on him, along with Salty and... another guy I can't remember. Skywalker, maybe?

  • Yes, Skywalker, Salty, and Squid were his primary influences.

  • this is my good friend Manny aka "squid" he is now a tattoo artist here in San Antonio Tx.

  • This guy is awesome. He moves like some monsters featured in Japanese horror movies. He has his own unique style; very original.

  • him and elsewhere have simular style, elsewhere much more defined.

  • i can do 29-30 and i like the 1:42-1:45 and i can do 1:58-204

  • u just wired for doing that

  • Just because its different doesnt mean its wierd!

  • No, it isn't David's brother. This is one of David's best friends. This guy was one of the people who got David into dancing in the first place. David has Three inspirations that got him into dancing. This guy (Squid). Another liquid dancer named Skywalker, who got David to explore another level of liquid. And a mysterious dancer he never met named Salty, who later David became obsessed with his dance style. Good luck finding a video of Salty.

  • there's a clip of Salty in another vid I upped, "Detours - An Experimental Dance Collaboration - Others (2/3)" at 3:25

  • He's pretty good, but does anyone really compare to Elsewhere? The complexity of his moves and the perfection of their executions are unparalled. A close study, and it's clear that guys like Squid, Skywalker and Midus are a very distant second -- at least objectively.

  • midus and elsewhere have totally different styles.

  • so simonfrom.... whats to say its not his brother? i mean did u run a comparitive DNA sample of both to see? no? then u can shut up as well!

  • you are so stupid... it is not because he has the same style as david elsewhere that he is his brother...

  • damn, whats the track to this

  • 1. Funkstorung - Try Dried Frogs

    2. Jega - Houdini

  • eh!

is this guy a davids brother?
