  • Damn, this was recorded on the day I was born.

  • Now's the time for me to know Red Holloway , ( thanks to JazzTimes's magazine ) I like his playing a lot .

  • Red just played a free show at Vancouver Jazz Fest. But local band The Night Crawlers got featured more than Red! A lot of the time he stood there silent, as others got to solo. Was Red's choice not to hog the spotlight? I guess once you're over 80, with a resume stretching back to the '50s, of playing with now deceased Jazz/Blues legends, YOU'RE the living legend, as Red's presented as now! But I saw him mid '70s, a talented but uncelebrated sideman for then celebrated Brit Blues-er John Mayall!

  • He's ginger,

    He's fat,

But when Red gets the Blues,

    He's one groove-filled cat.

  • haha

  • I just saw red at birdland in NYC, he's amazing!

  • i have played with red he is fantastic and thanks so much for the clip
