  • I really like the music...it goes along with being in the snow. I'd never want to camp in the snow...too cold, but I enjoyed your film and the music. Looks like you ll had fun.

  • good video but the music sounds like it belongs in a funeral.

  • where did you go in the Eastern sierras cause i am looking for a new place to go backpacking and from the look of these pictures this looks like it might be the place to go

  • This trip was South of Lake Crowley. Rock Creek road. I believe Rock Creek road is the highest paved road in North America. Because there is a road there you will have a few more hikers with you. Not bad though. Hike is really simple. For a trip that is an advanced hike (about 20 miles). I recommend Puppet Lake. It is worth it if you like to fish. Golden trout are really large. The trailhead for Puppet is near North Lake out of Bishop.

  • haha, that sucks man. Awesome video anyway

  • Gay music, good vid

  • I agree. I had dishwalla on it originally. The gay copyright police swooped in and shut it down until I changed it to an "approved" song.

  • Awesome looking trip.

  • Thanks, It was so much fun. I still need to put together the trip to Puppet Lake from last Fall.

  • For something different, you could have a vehicle parked on the other side of morgan pass at pine creek canyon( at the pack station) and hike from mosquito flats over morgan pass to pine creek

  • Nice! I went hiking on that trail 2 weekends ago. It rained on us for a short time but other than that and some dark clouds it was great. One of the best hikes yet!

  • lucky!

Great Hike and it's getting close to September again. Where to go next? Eastern Sierras for sure. Better start planning.

  • I might be doing the Lone Pine Lake hike in 2 weekends! Another great hike!

  • Been away for a bit. Did you go hiking?I am leaving tommorrow with Jay Art and Jeff for the last hike this year.We are leaving from North Lake out of Bishop. Puppet lake in the Humphreys Basin is our final destination. I will post a new video when we get back.

  • I actually went on the same mosquito flats hike 2 weekends ago again! Windy as heck though. We didn't go out as far as we did before because of it but we still had fun. And I caught a cold as a result from it. But it was still worth it. I look foward to your new video post! Be safe & have fun!

  • Hi there. Just got back (tonight) from our Sept 2008 hike. The trail head was out of North Lake. What a beautilful place. We stayed at Paris Lake near Puppet Lake. I will make up a new video soon. Sorry to hear about your cold, but I bet it was worth it. How far back did you make it? We had perfect weather until today. While we were hiking out it started snowing on us. If you ever post a video of your hikes let me know. Just drove by Ridgecrest, should have honked the horn.

    Take care.

  • Yep September. Seems like it always snows on us in this month.

  • beautiful.

  • I just didn't enjoy the taste of the water at that lake. Hiking in from North Lake, all of the lakes are very tasty. What was the temp there? 2 degrees at night? Very cold brosef.

  • Buuurrr that was a cold one and still didnt affect the fishing.
