yeah- just for this- i don't normally ride western. If you do that make sure you're careful about it- wear helmets and have a rope that can be let go of in case of ana emergency!
I seen two people do this and the guy on the horse stopped but the guy on the sled didn't stop his sled and went into the horse's back legs.He got kicked with both back feet right in the face,last i heard of it he was a veggie from broken neck and thats besides all of the broken bones in his face.Just don't let the slide ram the horse's leg's i guess.

anyways, we just went to a trot but we were standing on teh sled, lol it was awesome!

just wrapped it around the horn- i didn't tie it just in case something happened so we could have a quick release

no- he got a little rope burn after he wrapped it around his wrist- but if you hold it normally you wont get it
