It's possible to kill Fontaine on Hard using *only* Electric Gel. Surprisingly, it has exactly the same effect on him in his electric form as his other two forms. Did you have both Electric Flesh tonics equipped?

This boss must be the easiest final boss ever.

I beat this game on hard without Vita-Chambers, and after the first few levels I was loaded up on everything.

The game overall was way too easy. The Big Daddies were not even a challenge after a while. I just used proximity mines in oil cans (or wathever) and threw it on them. BOOM. Who's YOUR daddy!

The game is one of my favorites, but they should have made the big Daddies and the final boss easier.

@DaddaOgg Perhaps they could have made him invurnable to wathever element he was currently "using". Like.. When he used electrical attacks (if I remember right, it's been a while) he would be invournable to electricity, and when he used a fire attacks he could be invurnable to fire.

The game really failed at an opportunity to make the player do everything he had learned. Using all kinds of placmids and weapons, and also give him more opportunity to hack.

how i do it is i get next to the health station with 500$ pull out telekinesis and use the explosive barrels against him then on part 2 hack the cameras and let them handle fontaine while i get some rockets which i use on part 3 against the splicers. took me 10 trys

my stratagy is similar i use the homing and explosive on the first round with a little bit of bee action the secuity bullseye on the second part with the bots and the gel for the rest of it pretty similar but i do it the other way around but the security bullseye helps on the second part it keeps the bots of u and on him and i do the homming missles first round so they dont hit splicers and waste them

just to let all of you know to get the achievement for beating fontaine on hard you can play through the whole game on easy and then change to hard just before finishing him off. Also it is easiest to kill fontaine with the grenade launcher

the fight with Fontain was insanely EASY!

and i beat the entire game on Hard. i beat Fontan from my first try! incendiary bolts and heat seeking RPGs. the hardest enemy i found to be was the elite Rosie. they immediatly kill you if you don't have medkits.

P.S. i litterally just finished the game. :) 1st time on Hard

you can just kill him with only the electric gel the chemical flame thrower actually does more damage up close so if you can the ammo consumption reduction you should be able to have about 135 at the end of round one then about 75 at 2 and so on. i suggest using the target dummy when doing my strategy makes it easier to drain the guy and to keep the splicers and bots attention away from you while you electrify fontaine.

I followed ur way, except for the first round. I aimed straight at the round column of "hidey-holes" (little sister entrances/exits) and fired my trap bolts at it. Roughly 10 of them take fontaine out. After they were all attached I put the needle in fontaine. He throws u over them if u plant them there and runs straight into them after throwing a couple of fireballs. Also an enjoyable strategy for big daddy fights

Okay, I found a better way for me. At first ,I used prox. mines all around him. 2nd round: Frag G. 3rd round: Frag G. again. If you run out before that, contantly use incinerate 3 and run! Works for all difficulities. Especially hard. :P

Heat seeking RPGs on the fire stage(much more effective since they're heat seeking) Napalm/Explosive bucks/Fire plasmid on the Ice Stage. If you want to be creative distract Fontaine and lure him into the pool of water that has oil drums and is in Water. It's a two for one deal. Electrobolts into the water and shoot the Barrel with anything that Shoots. Last stage, Insect Swarm/Target Dummy/Anti-personal Rounds. Splicers will be distracted and so will Fontaine. Hit him like a sitting duck.

It may be fast and easy, but using the fully upgraded Wrench is faster and using Electric Gel on all 3 phases (possible with the ammo consumption upgrade) is every so slightly easier in my opinion.
