I assume the pausing for lightning is some editing or camera trick, but what would that be called? How does it pause the rest of the motion and get such clear shots of the lightning? Is it just a high speed camera?

@easymac79 Simple. You stop the time lapse whenever there's a lightning strike. Normally clouds move too slow to be visually tracked, even during a storm with significant rotation like this one. So they appear to stop for the lightning.

Its because they put it back to normal speed when the lightning occurs, and thus the clouds do not move as fast as they would if speed up, they are moving at normal speed. Make sense? And so it is NOT fake.

hiryuuhi it's not cloud wall it's a wall cloud and not all tornadoes form inside a wall cloud. A sign of tornadic activity in a supercell would be a hook echo which indicates RFD spinning on the back part of a mesocyclone. Or you could just look to the clouds.
