here's another take... though this wont help any1's papers (unless ur poli sci prof will take a 1 liner, like: "'Just war' means whatever the powerful want it to mean."):

i tend to think folks like walzer/gladis, et al. would disagree w/ this analysis since it reduces their work (and field) to propagandistic drivel
@mephatboi well from the video Chomsky seems to laugh at walzer's assessment as having no logical argument. He presents the same steps I did in this video, but what Chomsky did was to assess the validity of each step in the JWT to see if it holds. This is the difference presentation and assessment of information. This video is the presentation of information. Pretty banal. Chomsky does an assessment of JWT. This is known as higher order thinking. So my vid is presentation not assessment...
@drjasonjcampbell i know - that's his thing & this is yours... i was asking u to violate ur role as educator (presenter) but u didnt take the bait! lol... it's easier to ask what ppl what they think than to think 4 urself - he's exceptional though b/c he explains things so clearly while assessing... he also takes a lot of time to answer q's (yet i often wish he would keep going so i can absorb more info... like on providing more evidence for his assessments, commenting on counterarguments, etc)
@mephatboi ...however you can't do assessment without presentation. The worse form of pedagogy, especially when information is first being disseminated is assessment, it biases the information and requires higher order cognition before the student fully grasps the content...most of my lectures are based in presentation of information...gradually we work to assessment, but I think its dangerous to start analysis with assessment, too erudite too inaccessible.
OMG! thank you Dr. Campbell for this video. I have a final paper to write and I was about to pull my hairs out cause I had such trouble understanding the Just War theory! You are heaven sent!!!!
