Confession time: One of my all time favorite rap songs is "The Message" by Ice Cube. When it hits that part "now your manhood is took and you're a maytag, spend the next to years as an undergover fag" I say it and a split second later realize that I was just singing along to a homophobic lyric. Straight women I know have the same problem when dancing to misogynistic songs. You don't think about the lyrics when you get into the song.
