woot woot! i was in LRSD at Campbell from 95-97. Miss those days for sure. I was on team 2, with SSG Hayes. Hes probably a 1sg somewhere now though. PVT-SPC Sauro during my time there.
im with the 159th pathfinder, we used to be LRSD and i when i came to the company it was hardcore, now its fucking pussifying itself, we need the lrs mentatilty back
Where you in the unit when it was LRSD? I was there for the deactivation and this is video from right after returning from OIF1. I was worried that would happen when they reclassified it, everyone is afraid to use it for what it's intended. It's not the boyscouts!
@imtired75 I was in lrsd when the unit was still at cav country .Then made the transition to 311th mi bn . team 1, Ssgt Ahern , Sgt Hart , Sgt Cooper , Sgt Armitage, Sgt Mock , Sgt Rauhecker, Spc Millward . I drew the unit logo at 311th mi. Me and Armitage graduated Ranger school class 10-94 last of the desert phase classes. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
This is a pretty money video. I like the moded BDU's. Just drop those MICH covers and you could have been official cool guys". Scrolls don't roll with MICH covers...
I rememember when I was in the 10st LRSD whenever we would jump a 130 or 141 everyone who was jumpmaster qualified would fight to see who was going to JM and get credit because most of our jumps were helicopters. Hell... if we put more than two teams out the door, we got JM credit for doing a mass tac. :-)
I did a total of 8 hollywood jumps out of 32 total jumps. Simple and easy and don't have to worry about landing on your ruck sack or being combat ready and having your rifle jam into your sides. Cause lets face it, who uses the weapons case? haha Only way to jump is to jump ready to fight with that rifle strapped to your side.
That's me in that plane SPC Collins,Caudell after OIF 1 was this at the air show when sgt adams messed up his back?

I watched and thought how scary. I have that 101st patch on my right shoulder,,,from Vietnam. I think that any person, E5 or O9, is proud of wings.
