  • @hotone23 he got a lesson just for this song

  • Comment removed

  • oh we all love clover...all over this land....lmao:P

  • It's a tipical instrument, that's not the best without orchestra. But it sounds like a nice flute:)

  • They sing this song at the highland renaissance festival where i live :D

  • That was spot on m8 thank you , my 1st day on the penny and I've now got this tune, 4 hrs hard blowing though ;-)

  • AND IT'S NO NAY NEVER!

  • oh, ok. I was kind scratching my head at that one. And Guinness is the way to go lads.

  • very nice and clear, but I don't understand the fly away fingers...

    At least it sounds great!

  • He does lessons. 'Flyaway Fingers' is a teaching method to help accentuate the fingering and movements necessary to play the instrument. While a true performance wouldn't necessarily use the technique, it does make it easier to learn certain notes.

  • The info box explains all! XD

  • Very clear for learning. Thanks

  • and we all love clover... rofl

  • Is this a key of D?

    I love it.

Does anyone have proper sheetmusic for the tin whistle or the chords? I'm too lazy to play it by ear, and I'm not good enough for tha either.

  • yes

  • your very good at it would you be interested in giving me lessons

  • he has lessons up already

  • Great song. Thanks for the lesson.

  • heya can ya post de notes

  • It was actually a Scottish temperance song.

  • no it's not...

  • Yeah, it was originally a temperance song originating in Scotland - it became popular via Irish immigrants in America. There you go.

  • a classic irish tune

  • anyone have the tabs for this? ...i'm just a beginner of a few days and i think i can do this song :)

  • If you still need the tabs for Wild Rover I can send them to you by e-mail. Let me know

    Brian

  • sry if i sound like a jerk. but tabs are only for guitar and bass. its our own little version of sheet music that we've come up with. when working with other musicians... we can't use tabs

  • C'est superbe, merci beaucoup !!

  • All my friends think im mad choosing guinness as my drink and we're from Ireland

  • you are so good at playing this song

  • I've been a wild rover for many's the year,

and I spent all me money on whiskey and beer.

And now I'm returning with gold in great store,

and I never will play the wild rover no more.

  • im a guinness drinker and the worst pint i ever had by far was in gravity bar!! but the tour is well worth it.

  • Guinness was invented one day when making Porter Ale, they burnt the hops and couldnt afford to throw it away, so they sent it to london and sold it cheaper. It became so popular among the poor masses, that when the company was bought, the new owners decided to make it a stock product, which is known as Guinness today.

  • Man, I wish I could play like that.

  • you rock when you drink Guinness :p

it's not because you don't care about tin whistle that you have to spoil the fun of listening to tin whistle. it's a teaching video for his students...

    nice one AGAIN Ryan.

working on boys of bluehill week 9 thnx for the video's

    harmen147

  • im not very intrested in that kind of stuff so i wont say it good and i will either says its bad :D

  • i've been a wile rover... YOU ROCK MAN KEEP IT UP!

  • ...GOD BLESS THE POPE!!!... ;)

  • no levantes tanto la mano!!

  • you guys are making me thirsty. hmmm, gotta do something about that!

Ryan, thanks for sharing your artistry with us.

    Magnificent!

  • A viking Metal band, a group a Pagan people, TYR, make a version of Wild Rover...

I like your art, even if I dont like your god...

  • As a jesuit, are you allowed to drink ale? Might seem silly a question like this, but I'm just a stupid pagan from a northern protestant country and I have no clue of things like this :D

Don't know why I'm asking things like this, maybe this song just reminds me of many good nights + many pints of Guinnes :)

  • I'll confess - I do have a penchant for Guinness. So yes, we are allowed to drink ale...and everything else. My rule of beer drinking: I don't touch anything I can see through. Consequently, I stick to Guinness.

  • Great! Nope, I stick with beer too, and prefer dark ones. Porters for example.

  • How refined!

  • Always wondered why the wife's church was out of sacramental wine. :) You know, there really is a difference between the Guinness in the US and Guinness from Ireland... I honestly can't stand it here, but I had a pint at the Skybar in the Guinness factory -- talk about smoooooth.

  • It is not the Sky bar, it is called the Gravity Bar... And the tour is pretty incredible... I would highly recommend the tour even to those who don't enjoy that delicious beverage... The history lesson is outstanding... And you can even view the original lease that Sir Arthur had...

  • @henkkakronstadt i was wondering that too haha pagan pride!

  • and its no nay never .... No nay never no more, i will play the wild rover, no never no more!

  • Before I even saw your comment I was *just* about to post this same thing! hah!
