That's a beautiful Oscar. Did you ever get him a mate? Every time I bought Oscars I got at least 2 sometimes 3 so they have company. Sometimes they fight each other though. One of mine was chewing up the other and I had to separate them. I mean really bad, he couldn't even relax, the other one was chasing him constantly and chewing all of his fins off. you oscar has a small case of hole in the head try feeding him some algae wafers for a while they still have protein in them but are full of vitamins and it should grow over.
Also another cool thing is put a black background and black gravel in the tank and his color will go from a washed out grey to a dark black color which makes the red on him look really cool.

@iwanisaaq i feed mine Hikari Cichlid gold i started with mini pellets and im up to large already after only a couple months i give them the growth formula too, its pretty expensive though like $14.00 a bag. i also feed them crickets, earth worms, freeze dried shrimp and blood worms, wax worms, frozen blood worms glass worms and brine shrimp, house flies, baby platies and mollies from one of my smaller tanks and tropical fish flakes. they love them all so just give them a variety

hey i have an albino and tiger oscar both of them i bought three months ago.They are about 8 inches long.Everthing was fine but from the last two days tiger oscar became too agressive, it bang on the glass,try to eat snails and brawling with albino.And my poor albino is very scared of him.I tried to control his temper by putting a net and scaring him but that doesn't works.The moment i step out of sight, he try to do some really agressive feats.Please help me to solve the problem.Tank is 55gall
@santoshbharath123 The size of your tank could be the problem it is really only big enough for one oscar. For two you should have at least 120 gallons.

yes,your right,does have serious hole in the head,You need to cut down protein immediately otherwsie it will die.Try and feed it some lettuce or other green leafy vegetable as well as livies and meat.

@ANYFUKINNAMESLEFT big oscars arent affected by hexamita, they can get it, but it doesnt do anything to them, and its a parasite, it has nothing to do with too much protien. im not trying to troll, im trying to set a fact straight cuz there is always people on fish videos trolling and saying this is wrong, oh no the poor mouse, the poor fish, blaah. and besides, ive never seen an oscar eat vegetables. sounds neat. besides, its only two holes, he'll live.

You need to get a few more things for his tank. Oscars like to hide. And like to have much of their tank with stuff in it... But get things that are soft so that he doesn't hurt himself if he gets to worked up.

please help i have posted this video i have 3 oscar fish temperature 28 celcius i give them hikari palets and live bloodworms(only sunday) they are active not behaving vierd please help me are they suffering from any deseaz that i know off...the white spots on the fish looks scary to me please help i clean the gravel once a week and keep the water clean change water 20% every week undergravel filter is attached to,fish eats swims around not a problem just the patches plz.

@iwanisaaq i feed mine Hikari Cichlid gold i started with mini pellets and im up to large already after only a couple months i give them the growth formula too, its pretty expensive though like $14.00 a bag. i also feed them crickets, earth worms, freeze dried shrimp and blood worms, wax worms, frozen blood worms glass worms and brine shrimp, house flies, baby platies and mollies from one of my smaller tanks and tropical fish flakes. they love them all so just give them a variety

i have one of these fish in a pond for 8yrs now and it makes this one look reeell small but this is a nice fish an will get big but you need to keep geting big tanks for him to grow in an soon a pond like 800gal or soo nice fish man

hey i have an albino and tiger oscar both of them i bought three months ago.They are about 8 inches long.Everthing was fine but from the last two days tiger oscar became too agressive, it bang on the glass,try to eat snails and brawling with albino.And my poor albino is very scared of him.I tried to control his temper by putting a net and scaring him but that doesn't works.The moment i step out of sight, he try to do some really agressive feats.Please help me to solve the problem.Tank is 55gall

@santoshbharath123 the problem is that you cant have two large oscars together in such a tiny tank. you need at least a 125 gallon

@santoshbharath123 The size of your tank could be the problem it is really only big enough for one oscar. For two you should have at least 120 gallons.
