  • So what? dont be such a cry baby!

Just leave DD and kiss andy's poster, DONE..!!

  • Duran without Andy is like The Beatles without JL. Also enjoyed them as three or four was ok. Looking forward to the infamous Reportage Album. I feel DD sold out a bit when Cuccurullo was with them. Don't get me wrong, Ordinary World is a great song, but is very guitar dominant, which was against the ethos of the group when Andy was with them. I have recently listened to many DD tracks again with a fresh ear and the track What Happens Tomorrow is a masterpiece for them IMO.

  • great video, thanks for posting! very interesting to hear Andy's parts up front and hear what he does live. Really brings it to Ordinary World. What was the last song at around 5:25?

  • in a perfect world we would like to see the original band perform live if we went to see them,

i was lucky enough to see DD original line-up in glasgow 2005,

watching AT, SLB & JT interact on stage was something very special to see,

i miss andy taylor but still love what DD.

  • It is not all about andy. They sold more with out andy. It is more about the union od Duran

  • I agree with the poster who said, 'listen to the music, forget the people.' The more you dig into these guys (as with MANY other bands) the more you kind of hate them. The only one of them for me, who I hold no judgement over is Roger, who, according to the rest of them, never touched drugs, was always quite shy and reserved and got pushed around a lot by the others. He's also an excellent drummer. I love new wave, but the band members are usually just like other genre's band members.

  • Last time I checked, Andy left DD and they don't need him.

  • Yeah..Andy is great and they need that rock edge for their next Album although AYNIN is one of their best ever. But he can be a bit unwieldy, a lot of their songs are about control and he seems to go out of control live, and not in a good way..at the beginning of this tour he was awesome..by the end of this tour his guitar playing got overbearing..he was overplaying everything until it sounded like a sloppy drunken mess. I read he left due to compensation issues (less for him) & old wounds.

  • sure that isnt Esteban?

  • Andy provides the rock edge needed for DD. Without Andy, DD are too pop. The boys need to bring him back. The five princes of music forever! I love Andy!

  • Each time Andy Taylor plays the electric guitar, then everything is perfect ! The legend of the original line-up and the rock spirit of Duran Duran. It was a pity that he departed from the band in late 2006.

  • agree with others here, was sad and a mistake that Warren Cuccurullo was sacked. was twice the guitar player Andy is. Andy had his time with the band but should never come back, big mistake.

  • Every member of DD excels at their craft, but Andy simply kicks ass in this video. While they all seem like really quite nice guys, Andy always seemed to me to be the most laid back....and under used unfortunately. I have been a fan since their debut album hit in the early 80's, but only was able to see them all together during the Astronaut tour, hopefully Andy can re-join again and they continue making music like they used to.

  • 4:38+ Andy Taylor = Bono

  • Why Can't Andy just be his age the matured person he is and rejoin Duran Duran. they'reold enough to know that work is work and money is money whats all this leaving the band like int he 80's shit for? like little kids. Duran Duran legacy must continue and more albums. Andy make the group complete again like in the 80's and 2000's

  • Warren Cuccurullo was twice the guitarist that Andy was! I'm tired of hearing everyone cry about AT. How long was he with Duran? A total of 8 years? How long was Warren with Duran? Around 17 years? Unfortunately, Warren was more a part of Duran than AT will ever be. And as far as Duran's creativity fizzling out. I've never heard such a pile of such shit before.

If you know anything about Duran, it's that the only time their creativity is going to stop is when their dead.

  • He looks like he's having fun. No more arrogant than many guitarists. Its his final performance with the band is he not entitled to let go a little.

  • Wow, age has not treated Andy well. He looks like an arrogant jerk and doesn't fit in with the other members anymore. From the way he always looks, I can't imagine being in a band with him.

  • He's ruining ordinary world with his solo. Talented, but a bit disconnected.

  • MY 2 CENTS: Andy Taylor showing why he so inventively bridged his influences from Chic, Bad Company, Deep Purple, T.Rex and Pink Floyd to give Duran Duran their unique sound. No other "replacement" guitarist can touch his talent. Nick Rhodes is an everlasting douchebag for driving Andy out of the band twice. Now Duran Duran have to rely on crappy hip-hop beat producers to try and reinvent themselves.

  • Thats it? That is absolutely crap, 20 some years of Duran Duran, what a bunch of Fing losers.

  • They never should have kicked Cuccurullo out for Andy Taylor-Looks like he was short on cash, went baxck for a reunion, made a pile of it, then left for the same reason he left in the first place. (ie irreconcilable gulf etc) Good riddance-BRING BACK CUCCURULLO!

  • Have read Andy's book from cover-to-cover and really appreciate him even more today. Funny that I never noticed how Andy was really playing a "solo" during the tour...almost like he was playing alone.

  • I was so lucky to have seen Andy with Duran Duran 3 times during this tour and he is still my fav!! He always brought such an edge to their music and I don't think they would have been around as long as they were without him!

  • Great footage. I haven't seen Andy play in recent years. He is still great.

  • andy taylor is gone from duran duran sucks

  • I'd like to see AT back in Duran Duran, but if him and his ex-bandmates just can't see eye-to-eye... there's no point reuniting only to break up again.

  • Andy Taylor = Rock And Roll.

Can't blame him for feeling depressed after his father passed away! Great show of support from the rest of the band who replaced him on tour RATHER than pulling out of the gigs in support, like when they did for Nick when his dad father died

  • Andy's a hard rocker. He was always contained with Duran Duran. Too bad they didn't feature him a occasionally. Would have made for some other types of songs. I like the first Power Station album. He let's it fly on that one.

  • Andy like to talk about the guys behind their backs. LOL

  • As well as he should. After reading Andy's book..I've decided to stick to listening to their music..to know anything about them outside of music is sad ..D2 are not people I would want to know personally espcially Nick!!

  • I can agree on not trying to dig too hard into these guys lives because the more I found out the more I DIDN"T want to find out. But Andy to me is a flat leaver......, TWICE! And what the hell did Nick ever do? Nick is a nice man.

  • According to Andy..NR is a controlling verbally abusive tosser. He's very impaitent, rude and stuck up and he's this way with everyone in the band. He goes out of his way to make them feel bad when he's not pleased with someone in the band. Not saying the rest of DD are angels. As for Andy leaving twice yeah he did but the second time around he had personal problems and he couldn't take NIcks' "abuse", and there was some tension with Si and JT. You would think someone would stand up to Nick but

  • JT did try when they started recording Astronaut , but as expected Nick makes JT back down from taking any control of the group by saying he was useless the first time around being zonked all the time so no point of him hanging around the studio either this time around. This is all from Andy's book ..you should check it out..there are many rows featuring NR

  • I mean of course a band will have some drama with eachother. But I cant really see Nick being THAT mean. And you know Andy wasn't so nice either. I saw THAT with my own two eyes many times. He made jokes about Simons clothes and Nicks makeup ALL the time. And he would tell everybody these things. It seemed like he hated the band except Roger and John.

  • No he wasn't AT admits in his book that he could be a asshole as well. As for the drama..AT doesn't hate everybody at times was close to SLB. He and NR will never be BFF. Like AT says they have old scars they need to heal among each other. But its a business and they don't have to get along as long as good music comes out but AT says creatively DD has fizzled flat. Have you listened to RCM? DD was forced to work with Timberland cause they didnt have any good songs according to AT

  • Andy.vuelve,siempre me cargo warren.

  • Andy kept the band sane, they always fall down when he leaves.

  • @15dineymite yes, i agree with you

  • I rather have Cucurullo back any day than Andy .

  • Ironic that the track used in this video is the first single that was released after Andy left the band the first time!

  • I want Andy back. Wthout andy´s guitar it´s always something missing in duran duran sound. It´s not complete. Compare the sales from astronaut and Red Carpet Massacre and take your conclusions. Mr Nick Rhodes and the other band members should read the fans opinions ande take their own conclusions.

  • andy taylor you are the best

  • Pure and simple.. The mans a legend.. Great video......

  • Thunder and Dangerous are very good projects that Andy put out solo. 2 of the best albums that I've ever owned in my lifetime of 38 years.! I am an Andy taylor fan for life.

  • i love the look on Nick's face when Andy goes into the Ordinary World solo.. I am totally turned on right now HAHAHHAHAA!!! i love this video!

  • we love andy and always will for his great memories and effort to make duran duran what it is today and We also love Warren too. they were and will always be the best lead guitarists DD ever had.

  • Andy is great, but the truth i, he doesn`t shine without Duran Duran.

He had a great and positive influence in Duran Duran, but he is too much pride, he prefered stay alone with them.

Duran Duran will have to find another excellent guitar player like Andy now.

Altough ,thank you Andy for Duran Duran , rio, Seven and the Ragged tiger and Astronaut albums.

  • i respectfully disagree. Andy Taylor wrote his best stuff on his own. His Thunder album is fantastic. I think Duran Duran limited him too much.

  • I agree mate.. the Thunder album is brilliant.. BUT..and a big BUT.. where did it get him.. not much exposure.. sold practically nothing.. and Andy's main showcase for talent definately has been through Duran.. seems no one seems to bother with his material (and once again, I agree it's great). And thebills have to be paid through something I'm afraid. It's a sad situation really, where he added so much to Duran.

  • didn't he produce some stuff for the band called Thunder, or was that a different Andy Tayor?

  • yes he did. and for Rod Stewart too in album Out of Order.

c'mon Nick, bring Andy back!!! Duran Duran is not complete without him.

  • I can add to this. The creative tension in Duran Duran is and has always been between Nick and Andy. Nick never wanted Andy because he felt Andy would pull Duran into being a traditional rock band which is exactly what Nick didn't want. As much as I admire Nick I will admit he is a heavy-blooded passive aggressive witch that made Duran a "not fun" gig for Andy. Andy being the sensitive person he is usually lost all the creative battles fought between them.

  • any one that experences fame is NOT under rated

  • how could you blow millions of dollars?

especialy when you have the worlds best people at your finger tips to advise you in everything and anything

    EZ come EZ go

  • Trying to argue a point when you have not

been able to grasp basic grade school

    grammar is beyond funny.

  • Okay explain it to me again? Andy's eyes are sensitive to light and that's why he's wearing those dark sunglasses?

  • they arent half as good without andy. i have been a DD fan since they started out and he has ALWAYS been my favorite member. a very unique player and very underrated inthe music business.

  • Thanks for this vid! Been a fan since '83 and a electric guitar player for 30+ years. Andy has his own signature style and timing; no one can replace him in DD for their early stuff. Their current hired gun is delayed in his timing, the older songs don't sound right, and it shows in the other band member's respective performances. The 'Classic Albums' DVD of Rio shows the other band members at different points musing over Andy's contributions. I hope they can reconcile again!

  • excellent. the sound is of the monitor..buenisimo.great.. the sound by Andy is the best !!!! thank andy!! come back

  • To me, Andy was extremely underrated as a member of the band. It felt like as the band grew in popularity, it became more of "The Nick Rhodes Show" as opposed to Duran Duran. It also seems that squabbles aside, at some point or another nearly everyone left the band. Even Simon was ready to call it quits after 'Pop Trash', but the reunion of the five kept things going. I still want to hear the album with Andy that was scrapped in favor of 'Red Carpet Disaster'... think it was called 'Reportage'.

  • this is the coolest video I've ever seen.

  • damn what a tallent!

    big fan of andy taylor.

  • Make no mistake about it. Duran Duran is a lesser band without Andy Taylor!

  • Don't get me wrong. I love the way Andy wails on the guitar but I just don't get why he didn't tell them that he didn't want to reunite with the band? :(

  • Well, in his book he wrote that when money ran out they decided to reunite the band...and Andy was one of the "no money" guys by the time

  • Oh I see. He needed the money.

  • That's right, but he commented that DD and him parted ways for other reasons. Whatever I miss Andy Taylor in DD, he provided the perfect rock balance that the band needs, I'm sorry Andy's return lasted just one album and I'm a little sorry that RCM went so electronic (anyway it has some nice songs)

  • As a 47 y.o. life-long guitar player and Duran fan for 25+ years Andy has a unique signature that I can pick out on any of their songs with him on board. Without him they are 4/5 DD, and that is sad. I enjoyed seeing them 15th row for this tour which rocked. Thanks for posting this vid!!!! One for the favorites vault!

  • I saw him in 1985 and he had a ciggaret in his mouth almost the entire time, i notied becasue i just qit smoing 6 months before. Check out my video of the concert.

  • To be honest I was shocked to hear he had ever gone BACK to D2. They never much got along, so I was surprised he put his ego aside and went for it. What didn't surprise me, was him leaving again. He was talented, but I think maybe a tad over rated. They all are. But I love em anyways. He'll be missed, but not mourned.

  • Agreed. It looks like Andy can't really function in this clip.

Don't get me wrong! I think Andy contributed a lot to Duran Duran but why does he need those dark shades if he's not hiding anything?

  • Alledgedly his eyes are very sensitive to the light. He started appearing that way near the tail end of his first run with DD. It's not some persona he puts on.

  • if anything they are underrated very, his playing is restrained compared to the old days, on Arena, i'm sure he could play as well as jimmy page

  • I won't hear a bad word said about Warren or Andy they're both very different types of guitarist, although I admit I prefer Andy (and I thought he was a nice bloke when I met him) Warren made an huge contribuion to some of their best tracks.

Without either of them the last album suffered, I was so unimpressed I've refused to buy it or go to any of the shows and that's a first for me, I've followed them since the begining.

  • I totally agree, I don't think Duran realized how important either of those guys contributions were to the band. I didn't even bother with RCM.

  • Thanks Buddy.

  • Holy shit, never knew he could wail like that!

  • I know eh? He's pretty deadly

  • Get back to the studio ,roll up your sleeves, and finish what you started andy, your still going to live thur this, and all the fans will love you for it,the wild boys are waiting for your return, green tea, smile and breath in the air my friend, you must miss us,because we all dodododo, love peace and get back to dd now, then I'll shut up.

  • DURAN DURAN'S best music is with AT. AT is part of the 'great' DD. WC was only ever there coz AT left and I think DDs career was slumping regardless AT leaving first time round. DD are not as good without AT, despite a lot of great songs with WC. WC is way to weird anyway.

  • I liked Duran Duran better with the young Andy Taylor...but now he seems kinda like Gene standing there with that obnoxious cowbell.

  • O my god, I was so fascinated by this video & the comments that my lentil soup burnt!

Anyhow, I think DD and Andy are old & wise enough to decide whether they can still cooperate yes or no. If they don't, it surely is a pitty because Andy is great. But his departure will not stop them from going on. As long as SLB, JT and NR don't leave, there is a lot left worth listening to (and watching as well)

  • "each album we release comes with the affirmation: 'it's the best album we have ever done'. We have to believe that. Perhaps, we will later assume: ' OK, RCM, it was a shit ", John Taylor laughs.

  • que genial es andy, hizo cada riff de guitarra excelentes!! la verdad en vivo se nota la ausencia de el

  • Hello To All,Duran Duran Leaves Andy Taylor!!!! For Sure!!!! About The Manegment!!!But Now Andy Still Recording The Next Album With Duran Duran. Many Thanks J.Taylor

  • any leaves duran. if duran left him, well it's not possible therefore he left duran. which is good because he wasn't all that great anyway

  • He did leave for the right reasons. The last album did not sound or feel like a DD album. That is why the album tanked.

  • every album without him has been perfect

  • yeah, liberty, big thing, pop trash and thank you are better than the first album, rio and seven and the ragged tiger... hahaha dont make me laugh

  • yeah.. they are and so is red carpet massacre... because dunmbass andy isn't on them!!

  • sorry but 2 of the best DD songs COME UNDONE and Ordinary World its whitout A.T. and represents the mature of DD history. The originals fans grow up in life without A.T., but with NICK, JHON & Simon, respect for the boys...andy was only a part of history and left to do an horrible AOR rock...

  • no no no the first album is one of their best...all the rest except med.land are just..second rate

  • Duran Duran leaves Andy? try Andy leaves Duran. Sorry but in my opinion Duran was much better without Andy! John is much better. but hey some people likes andy. But see to me, he just ruined the D2 pix. call me a fake duranie i dont care but andy did nothing 4 Duran.

  • i am agree with you and in fact if i think about duran the first ones that will came to my mind alway will be le bon, rhodes and john taylor, even roger taylor before andy.

  • i know, i always think of john. Andy isn't apart of DD anymore and I'm glad. DD did a show in New York a while back and Andy was sappose to be there but he never showed. Simon has done his best to make andy feel welcomed back, but he's just a jerk. im glad dd doesn't have to worry anymore

  • Very nice work Andy !

  • Yes he is!

He has inspired me to pick up my Electric guitar again.

    Andy, your beautiful man.

  • THANKYOU! THANKYOU! Andy Taylor is so amazing.

  • Andy is a great on guitar. Duran Duran are big band, but aren't same without Andy Taylor. Andy, come back on Duran Duran!

  • I just stumbled across this video while I was looking for something else, let me say this: Andy Taylor is great! Excellent job , damn good stuff!

  • It's just sooo sad. I was looking forward to astronaut for ages. - Along it came, and about half of it was great. Although I was gutted by the abridged WGTHT. Then the over-produced single version! Then worst of all - Nice never got a UK single release!! The one track on the album which really captured the essence of "night version" Duran of yore!

Anyhow - I will always hold Andy in high esteem. His playing on those early 12"s and their b-sides inspired me to play guitar too. Still going!

  • Can't stop loving him. Even if he left...

  • Andy must come back or their finished!!!

  • Great edit of Andy with D2.

I can't wait to get his book and read it cover to cover in one sitting ^_^

I'd also like to get 'Notorious' (the book), and I've heard there is something in the works called "There Is Something You Should Know"- saw it on IMDB, but no idea how to get a hold of it. I don't know if it's video or a book.

I want to know mainly why Andy came back for Astronaut, then left right after. On the Astronaut DVD (that came with the CD), he said he was happy to be back.

    Much Luff!

  • then I'd like to find out what DD is...

Is it Astronaut possibly? Because it took me a long time to accept that record. No one except for Simon perhaps, sounded like 25 years earlier. No surprise. It's a long long time. And besides what we're talkin bout here? This band was always into making unforgettable songs and having this in mind I won't be disappointed with RCM. It's simply worth listening. A good ear will also catch some Ultravox and DM influences there which is an interesting novelty.

  • :)you're right, it doesn't sound like dd. For the 1st time in history dd sounds like ultravox and even dm, which is quite interesting 2hear. And that's what RCM is about - opening up for inspirations. But in a way I can understand you - it took me a long time to get used to Astronaut too. For the same reason. It didn't sound like DD to me either. It took me some time to get to like it.

  • got andy taylors book friday an finnished it today, sunday, and i was on the piss last night!!a fantastic honest account and insight into his life,a great musician and a very decent man, wish him the best of luck with the rest of his life and carear.

  • Yep, im just over half way through it myself.

What a great read it is, the highs and lows of the music business.

  • cuccurullo 4ever

  • both make a great work in differents eras!! peace!!

  • Life is too short to enjoy anything we loved. Andy is one of the original player of DD. No matter what happened to Andy, he must have been through a lot, good or bad, happy or unhappy, he is still the very important element of DDs five king spirits, the only original guitarist of DD, and the best sound of guitar DD ever had. Always.

  • on 2/4 actually, on taste the summer he was, sorry for that, but anyway speaking of heaviness etc. and "keeping it real", tell me what resemblance does astronaut have to 7&the ragged tiger f.e. in terms of sound? almost none. the heaviness is there but the sound and the way of playing is different. even nick's synth are completely different. what remains is the spirit of the people who make the songs. and there is plenty of it on RCM. Believe me. still I don't mind andy's coming back.

  • I agree. They are living off the spirit of their back catalogue. If they were just starting out with that music, would they be as famous? I doubt it. Then again, singles and records dont make you money, live shows do and as long as we are paying them wads of money worldwide for them and us to enjoy each other, good on them. But the albums...they need a radical rethink. I couldnt pick one song from the new album and place it in their first three albums when they were top of the world

  • anybody else notice this video was added on Simons birthday... not that it means anything I just noticed thats all

  • Should'nt this read Andy Taylor leaves Duran Duran?

LouGrimaldi, I agree with you 100%.

  • I fortunate to see Andy play live with them when they came to DC two years ago during the Astronaut tour. Andy chainsmoked through the whole concert...but nothing beats hearing the real deal....and Andy was the real deal.

  • Andy was a tosser anyhow.

  • tosser? throw out?

  • My that is a bit harsh. lol.

  • I don't like the cigar in his mouth......

  • Please comeback, who needs the Timbas with a guitar player like this one?

  • he was wretched. thank god they parted ways with him. the weird thing is that he was good at one time right? the power station and early duran duran records?

  • Huge Duranie here but Red Carpet Massacre was terrible!

  • I LOVE red carpet massacre!!! Especially skin divers, this is typical duran duran...they never do the same thing twice, and who else could pull that off but them. They are timeless. I love andy as much as the next duranie, but if he can't play the game, why should they others have to pay?

  • I agree, DuranielovesJT. They've always had an evolving sound--even from their 1st lp to Rio. Like you said, they never do the same thing twice. I LOVE their old stuff. But I have also found some favorites since then. RCM DOES have elements of their early sound and of their early influences!!!

  • Rat bastards! They don't have half the talent Andy does.

  • i love andy taylor!!! but i love duran duran too!!!

so with or without andy duran duran is still

duran duran!!! buy red carpet cd cause its really amazing!!!!

    giannis/greece

  • along time ago, I was a metal head, the typical metal head, and I hated DD with a passion, then I saw pictures of Andy hangin with Paul Stanley and then heard his solo album and saw the players on it. I was confised, I went back and check out the DD stuff and he blew me away...to this day he is one of my favorite musicians and writers...ANDY TAYLOR IS THE SHIT!! He rocks!!!

  • Hi RokDAWG1 Glad you've seen the light cuz thats how i felt for a while back in 1981 in Birmingham UK where these boys are from and myself. it was a hard transision from leather jackets to eye liner and frilly shirts But Duran Duran have shown the test of time with or without Mr Andy Talor. Please check out the music they did with Warren Cucarrello PEASE Bro

  • are you kidding me?!?!? I saw them with Warren*lol* I loved that line up too...very cool stuff!! Andy is to DD as to what ACE Frehley is to KISS...there might be great musicians to follow, but you can never take away that first magic that made them who they are.

  • are you kidding me?!?!? I saw them with Warren*lol* I loved that line up too...very cool stuff!! Andy is to DD as to what ACE Frehley is to KISS...there might be great musicians to follow, but you can never take away that first magic that made them who they are.

  • The fact that he rocks could be why he's never been the ideal DD guitarist. DD are a pop/rock/funk band and Andy hasn't the range.

  • or... the fact that he rocks is why his contribution to DD music made it so complex. Consider this: ever notice as individuals they have some overlapping musical taste but some contrasting taste too? I thought that's what made DD such an interesting band. THAT'S one of the reasons why they've lasted for so long!! :) (And Andy has never been the only one who listens to rock.)

  • I love Duran Duran but it just isn't Duran Duran without Andy Taylor, whats the point in continuing on?

The whole purpose of the reunion was to bring the original 5 back!

And it's obvious this time the split is permanent ;(

  • Hey DuranFan001, I'm a BIG DD fan too!!!!!!!!!

Is there still a ray of hope that Andy will be back again...?

  • I can't agree more, the whole point of DD coming back was to reunite original 5 and that's it. That's why they signed album deals . His guitar playing brings attitude and heaviness to their sound. I enjoy their music but right now they're cheating us by continuing. If they're keeping it real, either bring Andy back or just pack it up. I tried to like Red Carpet Massacre, but it's not what original DD is all about. I respect Andy more for keeping it real, punk rock and disco, peace out.

  • True :)

I tried to like RCM too, to be honest it's a load of bullshit!

Andy brought an edge to DD that'll never be replaced!

  • andy taylor is a great guitarist but hey if you're true dd fan you should dig RCM. the reason why andy left was that he didnt want to work with timabaland etc. mind it's DD not the power station, durans were always into dance and groovy stuff (f.e. "My own way" dance version, etc.) you should understand the spirit of the band. and besides while we're on this particular clip keep in mind that andy wasn't the original guitar player on 3/4 of them (notorious, ordinary world, taste the summer)...

  • Bullcrap. Only a sycophant will dig RCM because it is DD. If someone likes it for the music, good on them. And if you read Andy's book that came out you will realize that he left because the excesses that caused him to leave 20 years ago had never really been resolved. btw, I wouldnt want to work with Timbaland either but DD are fame sluts who as JT put it, will do anything to get back to the top. I dont like RCM, it isnt DD, but it isnt any worse than the pap on the charts either.

  • Couldn agree with you more. RCM is dreadful and it is not DD. When Sunrise came out it was pure DD and sounded like it could have been the followup to View To a Kill. Unfortunately, the rest of that album was a departure into the DD when Taylor had left. DD lost their place in the charts not because they fell out of fashion as much as their music was crap! You couldnt make a compilation of their post VTAK stuff over the last 20 years that could compete with their first 3 studio albums.

  • I agree 100%

  • sorry but you could, some of the most experimental and mature stuff are in this period

skin trade, all she want is, seriuos, ordinary world, come undone, breath after breath, electric barbarella, out of my mind...you cant erase 20 years mate...

  • Andy come-Andy go but he is the best

  • Andy left Duran Duran :P lol

  • I wonder if they get elected to the rock and roll hall of fame, are they going to ask Andy Taylor to join them on stage?

  • My post before this was to some dickhead dumping on Andy, youtubes reply system is broke.

  • Andy...You have mastered the guitar better than anyone past, present or future! Without Andy DD is not the same. Love ya Andy!

  • I would think that Andy Taylor is a major reason why this band got successful in the first place. Just listen to the music. Wow, what a great guitarist- any band would love to have him. He sounds great, he shreds. the other band members must be stupid even tho I like the band, and really think they're brillant.

  • Duran Duran sucks without Andy. No guitarist = No Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their Reportage album was bulked by their record company. Fuck 'em. I ddidn't buy their new album because there is no Andy.

  • Red Carpet Massacre was their worst album and has sold squat. Duran Duran aren't a rock band but partly so. Without Andy, they would NEVER have succeeded. Period.

  • Is duran duran going to be a four piece or five piece? Hire that guy dom brown as a full time member. He played guitar on the new album. That's if they don't tell andy to come back, i miss andy playing with them.

  • andy--you are missed--

you will not find anyone else who

    helped you through it all--

    but them

  • andy ... dude ... please COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this makes me wanna cry... i want him back

  • Woaw, I love this awesome band.. I only have 19 and I have almost all the albums of them. They rocks... My favorite song is "ordinary World", for me is the best song, I even met them whit that song in the 93, when I only had 5 years old, ha ha ha ha ha... xD

  • Thank God Andy abandoned the ship before it sank.

  • =_( i miss andy
