But, i really hope india will be able to educate its large masses soon enough to lift them out of poverty and into a better life. Private sector involvement in education is the key to acheiving this. Government is inefficient and corrupt. Private sector needs to be able to reap profit out of education and when there is competition among different private institutions, always, the best school/college will win. So, it is a win-win for colleges/schools and students :)
@sprau09 indian education system has lots of faults and is nowhere near the best in the world !!! Indian education system encourages lot of rote learning without understanding concepts. Also, even bigger problem is not updating the syllabus according to the needs of the industry which keeps on changing at breakneck speed. Higher education system in india is completely messed up due to political interference and lack of autonomy to institutions.
i have planned to dedicate my 3-6months to volunteer teaching for these innocents and poor.. God bless them
