I played this guitar at a guitar shop, I fell in love with it, the tone is just perfect for me and now it's all up to see how long it takes me to save up for it :)
@ArcaneAnders It's a sound demo not a competition... that's why I wrote "I'm not and I'll never be a good guitar player", even if I got a mail from Gibson Europe who thanked me for putting this video on...
@danstortion Nonono, didn't mean it that wat :) I use pentatonics allmost all the time myself! I just thought that you were using them well :) Sorry if i came off as sarcastic
i have a SG classic ... but i think its not quite the same isnt it?? i mean they both have p90 but the 60' tribute seems brighter .... correct me please if im wrong
@HereMikeWas It's a home-made pedal, a friend of mine build them, they're great and cheap as well, I've paid some thing like 50 euros/70 bucks, it's a real bargain cos he uses only quality parts.
how did you limit the feedback with having single coil pickups? are you using a noise gate? I just bought the same guitar same color everything. Sounds wonderful just wondering how to kill off some of the noise. I don't hear much when you are playing.
@HereMikeWas Congratulations, a very good choice!!! I wasn't playing loud that's why there's just a little hum, the P-90 is great pickup but it can be very noisy... I'll buy a Boss noise gate ns2, it's great, it works very well, and if you find one used, the price is also low. Keep on rockin'!!!!
@HereMikeWas I agree with danstortion recommending the ns-2. Mine does a great job in hushing up everything until I start playing. I don't have a guitar with P-90's, but I sure want one. One of my buds has an old LP Junior with one P-90, and that thing barks like a mad dog. I love the sound of that guitar, and it projects the notes all the way to the back wall of wherever they play. I'm pretty much a humbucker guy, but I LOVE the P-90 sound.
@Sweeper5 oh yeah P90s are like single coil humbuckers they can handle the gain well unlike regular single coils imo. I am also a humbucker guy until I tried out p90s I like both now.
Got a Who tribute band and ....man, this guitar is incredible.simply incredible.

@2112thesmith Ah ah ah! Thanks but Vai is not my kind of stuff, I wish I could play like Gary Moore when he was 16...

Do the P-90s make a lot of noise when distorted?
firstdarkknight 11 months ago
@firstdarkknight They do but if you use a noise reductor such as a Boss NS2 the noise is not a problem anymore!
