@WinstonChurchill No one has answered this maybe you can. What do you think of all the statements that saints bodies are coated in wax to keep them from decaying?
@cyberwolf001 Actually my earlier response was an assumption. Web based sources suggest that wax (or some other material) coverings were made to prevent the image of sunken eyes and such.
Every time I get into some creation/evolution debate, I always think of this and wonder: How can you not believe? -It's too amazing. God can truly do some pretty amazing things, ya'll!
It's a simple observation. Most of the Catholic stories of incorruption are exaggerated if not outright fraudulent (though a few are quite interesting, as are instances of incurruption in other traditions such as Buddhism). Pio required physical restoration to be suitable for public display. I can't find that especially miraculous.
I don't believe the church has been fraudulent in the past. I believe in the past we have not had access to the appropriate technology which could help decipher the natural from the supernatural.
As for the incorruption of St Padre Pio, i can not believe an accusation which is backed up by no evidence but what I predict as speculation. However i do not doubt that they have kept him free of such things as dirt and pests but i do not think they tampered with the preservation of his flesh.
dear lord.
I pray today for all of the people that are hurt and jaded by life. please reveal your self to them in a special way.
wipe their tears away. heal them lord, if it meets with your holy will.

Well what you are seeing is deceased men and women who due to their intense Faith and Holliness have earned the merits of everlasting life.
The incorruption of their bodies for hundreds, even thousands of years represents their Sainthood.
