  • silly parrot! my love birds are the same way. they get into things tthey dont need to be in and i tap then gently on the head and tell them NO but there stubborn spoiled birds.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL whats that

  • LOL - thats adorable. You're quite good with him.

  • Thanks, it's the only rational comment here. I have never abused my bird, he is the most spoiled brat )) of the family and he has a complete reign of the house. To "remove him from the situation" you need time - you need to get up from your chair, get a stick, make him step up etc etc. It takes at least a couple of minutes. Meanwhile, he will bite on the cord and kill himself with overvoltage, so to avoid that you need to act NOW with any means you have.

  • OMG! That is NOT a form of animal abuse. Geez I bet y'all are the parents of kids/ owners of pets that people want to smack the hell out of because they can't behave. I didn't hear the bird screech in pain so obviously it had no harm done to him, but I did see walk away from the cord so it must have worked in some way. It's not like he back handed bird in the face or throw it across the room. He tapped it with paper. You people are so over dramatic.

  • @Glendale1901 You go ahead & do it! Make sure you report it to the ASPCA as well. Yea Right! This is NOT animal abuse! I think you need to get your eyes check. You need to get a sense of humor. They are selling them at Walmart for 19.95. Oh, they just lowered down the price so idiots like you can afford a sense of humor. Btw, if you do proceed on reporting this... Good Luck b/c I doubted if they will take any drastic measures upon this situation. The video is about a bird it's owner having fun.

  • thats rly mean acually parrots dont learn anything like that.. -.-

  • This is animal abuse and is being reported to the ASPCA for immediate action.

  • @Glendale1901 Lmao, i'll report you to the ASPCA because monkeys shouldn't be on youtube

  • @Glendale1901 o_O it's been a year. i truly hope you've found a life by now outside of "omg that parent disciplined their child that calls for cps" or "omg that person is playing with their pet....aspca"

  • Don't listen to these bleeding heart morons.. it's pretty obvious you weren't hitting it hard and that caused no pain to your bird. BUT they are right in saying that it doesn't work, because parrots don't learn that way.

Just remove him from the cord over and over until he gets it.

  • Though I don't agree with swatting the bird, I also don't agree with the whole "say a firm no" comments others have said here. Next time, say no, and if he doesn't listen, put him in a short time out. Let him out again, and repeat until understandt hat No means to not chew on the cord. It takes a bit of time, but it's nicer than swatting at your bird.

  • i hope that bird bites your hand off stop hitting him

  • I think he's unhappy because you're smacking him in the head not just because he's not allowed the cables

  • stop hitting your bird ! how would you fill if someone would hit you or your kids ?

  • never attempt to hit your bird , just say no firmly

  • that is so mean hitting your bird with a peice of paper that is a fourm of abuse!im you dont want it doing what everit was doing say no firmly or sismply remove it from the situation
