Morses only problem is his tone, its too tight and modern sounding. Other than that he's a ninja. He might have been better to play an ES355 or similar.

Steve Morse.. his great, his fantastic, BUT every guitarist in Purple will be ALWAYS compared to Blackmore. It sucks, because too bad Blackmore was just the best and every "substite" -non copy- of Blackmore won't sound as Purple sounded in it's best years. Blackmore's play technic, his guitar's sound. I think in this hopeless case every guitarist after Blackmore is just pale.

I actually disagree. I saw them in November last year and he was amazing. I think he's still got it! I do however agree that they are the best band ever
