Adding a little detail to what I said before, now just think, if all singers sung perfectly, music would be really boring. Point being, without a variety of different singing styles, it would seem that you would not get a sense of some of the emotions that the artist is trying to spread. Personally, I find it a bit fun to figure out the lyrics as I listen to the song :p
