Also, you criticize the movie's story even though the cartoon's wasn't even that good to begin with. On top of that, there really weren't any character redesigns, just new interpretations. TRUE fans are open to new ideas and ALL aspects of the Transformers mythos. TRUE fans don't whine because Megatron's not a wimpy pistol. TRUE fans know that Optimus has been a Cab-over truck, a Fire engine, AND a gorilla. TRUE fans are sensible enough to realize that some of the cheesy concepts created in the 80s (I hardly consider a Dinobot to be a "Robot in DISGUISE") to make sense in live-action movie.

@S1mmer I know this is way way way late lol but if bay made Starscream as an F-15 and from what i understand those jets have kind of been fazed out a bit. An F-22 is more realisitic. On top of that theres more articulation that makes it that much more feasible. Just my take.
you know its amazing how the concept art for any given movie always looks SO MUCH cooler. I wish the movie looked like this, but then again, its probably impractical to expect them to animate MASTERPEICE paintings, in any reasonable time fram.
