While i havn't watched the UK series yet, i do plan to just for the simple fact that the UK series was the original and was where the bar was set. They took out maxxie and replaced him with the lesbian called taya i think her name is. Jal is replaced with the asian girl called daisy. Chris is the kid who is the tent in the US version. and cassie becomes cady, the girl who passes out towards the end. And sid is now stanley the kid who buys the drugs.

Oh and one more thing. Ive been to so many sites bad-mouthing about Skins US..so I came to watch this and i kinda know what they mean about the acting being better in the UK vers. Acting is very important =P so i gotta give the UK its props, even if my first love was U.S vers.

I like the MTV version's better. Why? Well it's not that it's a copy or anything, but more on the fact that... the main cast has more girls!!! I'm a guy so girls are what I think about. Just girls. Only girls. There need to be more girls in the world. Sure there are more girls than guys on Earth, but my neighborhood is like a boy's only school. I gotta leave. -_-'

you can't say that the American version is better because the actors are inspired by the UK version. This casting is not only inspired him to another version they were first. So skins U.S. is a simple copy .

I'm american, and I LOVE skins, and I have no problem with the MTV version, but to say that they are better actors is OUTRAGEOUS. The original skins bends over MTV skins and rapes it in the ass. @Cakeypie13 well michelle is the one with is taking a bath in the beginning, who tony calls nips. the new anwar is the the Muslim kid in the beginning gets pulled by the ear during his prayer. They took out maxxie and replaced him with the lesbian called taya i think her name is. Jal is replaced with the asian girl called daisy. Chris is the kid who is the tent in the US version. and cassie becomes cady, the girl who passes out towards the end. And sid is now stanley the kid who buys the drugs.
