Because I saw a photograph someone took of an Evel toy jumoping his bike through a barbeque, real flames. This film was a test for 'The ultimate jump' - which you can watch on my website
Hey Gordon you big kid, dont you have work to do in your office...lol...cant wait to relive my childhood when I get mine for xmas....brilliant vid by the way, very clever cam work/shots.
Thanks! I've of Knievel's infamous "Clifford Jump" of '78. That jump, more than even his legendary leap over the fountains at Ceasar's Palace, really drove home what exactly this man would do for American. He gave his all. God bless him. And God bless Clifford, too.
Gordon, congrats to you and Evel.. Im another animator who somehow was drawn to make some movies as well.. I checked out the PCH jump and was well impressed. That was truly amazing. Check out the key words of "Eddie Rouge" and you will see one of em. great stuff!!
That was well done. I was a Knievel fan as a kid and I haven't heard that song since the 70s...I had the record. Of course as a kid I didn't realize how corny it was.
Glad you liked it - it was a lot of fun. I went on to make another 20 minute video where we built a rocket bike and jumped the PCH in California - If you go to my website http://www.gordonlangley.co.uk and hit the TV and then flick the channels. When you see the rollerskate - click that and off you go.
EPIC.

Great camera angles and slow motion shots. The crash scenes were horrific just like the real ones were!!
