I checked and double checked the comments and reviews and they were all positive.There are some trust sites that give out .wads that work perfectly. Wiiso is a perfect example of one of these sites.
I got the Homebrew channel, currently running the USB Loader GX to play back up games therw an external harddrive. Games such as Resident Evil 4 etc. is running great. no you just need to update your Ciso for example grab DOP-IOS from wiibrew and install ios53 patched to get New Super Mario Bros running or Ios 55 trucha patched for say rockband beatles...
the key to backups is haveing the CIOS rev updated to a WORKING build if you went to rev 15 id say re-install rev 14 for waninkoko's CIOS but keeping the trucha signed IOS is important for those stubourn titles like NFS undercover or ACCF for example...
Sorry. Im kinda a noob at this so please bare with me. Someone actually installed the homebrews and games for me. Ive been doing my research so I know only a bit about this(accessing sd card and such) no idea whats CIOS or where its located. DOP-IOS and ios53, no idea either.

Homebrew 1.0.1 lOS36 v12.22 I loaded older games and it works perfectly. But newer games just goes to the blue error screen.
first of all you should should go to google and bookmark the website GBATEMP and read all the stickies in the wii hacking section of the forums this will help with the termonology...second USE THE SEARCH THERE and at WIIBREW website to obtain documentation its always best to be a confident hacker or let your friend hack it if you trust that person to do it more... best of luck
upgrade to 4.2 then install homebrew and dvdx the uloader works great i run off usb and disk iso222 is the new iso format, the new super mario works as well :)
hell yeah i like hermes 222 and 223 to load free comercail pirated games from my WGD terabyte and no modchip needed with the wii its fully software so you dont void the waranty opening the console its a win win for thoise willing to read b4 they execute you WILL PROFIT ;) its like having a modchip installed without any hardware changes at all just a exploit called BANNERBOMB
THE HOMEBREW BROWSER CANNOT but flashing things to your nand like custom channels and themes CAN because you do those hacks with a calculated risk or at your own risk (install preloader or bootmii for brick protection and you can always fix even a bricked console so keep that in mind as well) but NO this has NO RISK because it does NOT do any flash installs it is read from the sd card in a executable file called boot.dol...IT DOES REQUIRE INTERNET to DL stuff though ;)

install the homebrew channel (find info on that at wiibrew org)...After that all you need to do is run Waninkoko's CIOS rev 14 installer (found in the stickies and guides at GBATEMP in the WII HACKING section of there forums) Then your wii is able to play burned games ;) I dont use a modchip at all check my other vids
if you have a 3.X fw then yes...If you have a 4.X firmware you will want to use BANNER BOMB just read up on WIIBREW ORG to get all the info on enabling homebrew take it one step at a time and you will get it np ;) watch some tutorial vids or visit GBATEMP website WII section for advanced tutorials best of luck!

try a 2 gig or lower and your loading it from the homebrew channel or a HBB channel?
If its a channel be sure your directories are set up properly because forwearding channels look on the SD for the files... Try to format the SD card to FAT and if that doesnt do the trick id wonder if your slot or SD card are not functioning properly good luck bro! CHECK THE WIIBREW LINK IN DESCRIPTION FOR ADVANCED INFO
make sure your up to date and there is a tab that says EMULATORS for emulators the GAMES ARE NOT FOR EMULATORS there just games that can be played from the homebrew channel ;)

after you have that setup proper on the sd run the DOL in the homebrew channel or whatever DOL loader you use...(your wii is REQUIRED to have internet access) the homebrew browser app will download the server images and files needed to access the free service and reset the wii....Load The Program from the HBC one more time and now you wont ever have to use a PC to add homebrew again
just download it using this homebrew browser program and it will extract the downloads IN THE PROPER PLACES on your SD card fully ready to be used from the homebrew channel! this means no need for a PC and CARD READER at all after that! just access to the net and having the SD card in the wii is all you need to get any homebrew you want installed to the SD card ;)

I got the Homebrew channel, currently running the USB Loader GX to play back up games therw an external harddrive. Games such as Resident Evil 4 etc. is running great. But currently new games can't be played. What do I need to upgrade? Or what do I need to do to be able to play newer games? If anybody can help me out, thatll be great. thanks in advance.

no you just need to update your Ciso for example grab DOP-IOS from wiibrew and install ios53 patched to get New Super Mario Bros running or Ios 55 trucha patched for say rockband beatles...
the key to backups is haveing the CIOS rev updated to a WORKING build if you went to rev 15 id say re-install rev 14 for waninkoko's CIOS but keeping the trucha signed IOS is important for those stubourn titles like NFS undercover or ACCF for example...

Sorry. Im kinda a noob at this so please bare with me. Someone actually installed the homebrews and games for me. Ive been doing my research so I know only a bit about this(accessing sd card and such) no idea whats CIOS or where its located. DOP-IOS and ios53, no idea either.
My wii version is Ver. 4.1u
Homebrew 1.0.1 lOS36 v12.22 I loaded older games and it works perfectly. But newer games just goes to the blue error screen.
What step should I take?

first of all you should should go to google and bookmark the website GBATEMP and read all the stickies in the wii hacking section of the forums this will help with the termonology...second USE THE SEARCH THERE and at WIIBREW website to obtain documentation its always best to be a confident hacker or let your friend hack it if you trust that person to do it more... best of luck

upgrade to 4.2 then install homebrew and dvdx the uloader works great i run off usb and disk iso222 is the new iso format, the new super mario works as well :)

hell yeah i like hermes 222 and 223 to load free comercail pirated games from my WGD terabyte and no modchip needed with the wii its fully software so you dont void the waranty opening the console its a win win for thoise willing to read b4 they execute you WILL PROFIT ;) its like having a modchip installed without any hardware changes at all just a exploit called BANNERBOMB

THE HOMEBREW BROWSER CANNOT but flashing things to your nand like custom channels and themes CAN because you do those hacks with a calculated risk or at your own risk (install preloader or bootmii for brick protection and you can always fix even a bricked console so keep that in mind as well) but NO this has NO RISK because it does NOT do any flash installs it is read from the sd card in a executable file called boot.dol...IT DOES REQUIRE INTERNET to DL stuff though ;)

oh yes very entertaining but from what i can tell 4.2 is just a seed to the small security garden hidden within the big picture...I see alot of ios patching and wifi banning occouring also i find it noteworthy that the official nintendo forums reports MANY BRICKS FROM NON HOMEBREW CONSOLES DURRING THE 4.2 UPDATE FROM OFFICIAL FW's...So needless to say it was a failure on a commercial level as well creating that NEW BOOT 2
1-100 boot 2 installs result in a brick thats a FACT..Risky huh?

Thankfully, my Wii didn't brick when I updated. I had updated the Homebrew Channel beforehand so it had no effect on that.

install the homebrew channel (find info on that at wiibrew org)...After that all you need to do is run Waninkoko's CIOS rev 14 installer (found in the stickies and guides at GBATEMP in the WII HACKING section of there forums) Then your wii is able to play burned games ;) I dont use a modchip at all check my other vids

if you have a 3.X fw then yes...If you have a 4.X firmware you will want to use BANNER BOMB just read up on WIIBREW ORG to get all the info on enabling homebrew take it one step at a time and you will get it np ;) watch some tutorial vids or visit GBATEMP website WII section for advanced tutorials best of luck!

try a 2 gig or lower and your loading it from the homebrew channel or a HBB channel?
If its a channel be sure your directories are set up properly because forwearding channels look on the SD for the files... Try to format the SD card to FAT and if that doesnt do the trick id wonder if your slot or SD card are not functioning properly good luck bro! CHECK THE WIIBREW LINK IN DESCRIPTION FOR ADVANCED INFO

make sure your up to date and there is a tab that says EMULATORS for emulators the GAMES ARE NOT FOR EMULATORS there just games that can be played from the homebrew channel ;)

fully understandable misconception NO hacking is NOT illegal so long as the programs you use are OPEN SOURCED AND LICENCED UNDER GPL and no one profits financially ....its perfectly within your rights ( Google Genral Public Licence on wiki GNU and GPL) that said it can however VOID YOUR WARRANTY if you add a modchip (i dont have 1 i use ALL SOFTWARE so my console was never phisicly altered at all making my warrant still valid ;)

They did add USB download support but i would think you will AT LEAST need the apps/homebrew browser/boot.dol on the SD in order to load the app....

put the Home brew Browser folder in the APPS folder....Put the .DOL file renamed BOOT.DOL into that...you get! say...
f:/apps/homebrew browser/boot.dol
for yuor directory
DONE
load the homebrew channel and use the video from there ;) its not rocket science and that vid is as much of a tut as any palsey should need ;)

after you have that setup proper on the sd run the DOL in the homebrew channel or whatever DOL loader you use...(your wii is REQUIRED to have internet access) the homebrew browser app will download the server images and files needed to access the free service and reset the wii....Load The Program from the HBC one more time and now you wont ever have to use a PC to add homebrew again

just download it using this homebrew browser program and it will extract the downloads IN THE PROPER PLACES on your SD card fully ready to be used from the homebrew channel! this means no need for a PC and CARD READER at all after that! just access to the net and having the SD card in the wii is all you need to get any homebrew you want installed to the SD card ;)

if you had the homebrew channel installed PREVIOUS to updating then thats not all that surprising ;) The updates just address exploits ;) they dont "kill homebrew" they kill access to the consoles internal IOS files...They can kill common loopholes we find to create exploits like BannerBomb though they havent yet ;) and even if they do FUCK NINTENDO BECAUSE THE SMASH BROS EXPLOIT IS UNPATCHABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Homebrew is a form of hack that allows you to install and run emulators, applications, and other user-created programs that bypass Nintendo's original intentions of controlling everything on your Wii system. It doesnt have to just be wii, it can be PSP, PS3, 360, PC...etc.

-Rent the game and then return it after you've hacked your wii
