what is this filthy dirty song about, immoral dirty people wrote this song. lets all join together and ask this new band to stop singing this ribald filth
I wish this version of Kiss would come back. I hate the way they are doing it now. At least this version of the band had its own identity and could stand on its own.
@twistofcain1979 : the current lineup does have it's own identity. limiting one's identity to the makeup they're wearing is very narrowminded. they're making new music. in the studio right now making their 2nd album together. tommy's much more a part of the band than ace every was. ace did his own thing and didn't really write songs or work on songs like tommy does. sorry, paul and gene are the core of kiss. just gonna have to deal with it or don't listen.
@strutter0812 You are entitled to your own opinion on Kiss. But I beg to differ. If you call Tommy Thayer doing almost the identical solo Ace done in Shock me and Eric doing beth having their own identity . I liked Sonic Boom , but Paul and Gene need to let those two do their own thing. I have been a Kiss fan for a long time. Through the good times and the bad . I just wish they would take the makeup off and get Bruce back if they are going to keep going..
no, this song is a direct reference to the building of led Zeppelins Communication Breakdown, fast riff without many notes as intro, a solo that gets cranked out at maximum speed and sounds like hell gone loose (the tightest page ever did, especially the muted wah, especially on those bbc album versions).
@TheMusicman1971 : actually '77 so that still predates ratt or mickey ratt or whomever you want. the core of kiss started back in 1969 but there were music changes and bandmember changes so you really can't say kiss' roots started in '69 or even '70 with wicked lester. so saying ratt goes back to '77 is a tad ridiculous. high school bands, garage bands and all those teen LA bands changed bandmembers like they changed their underwear. no way mickey ratt was near the same band as what we saw in 83
@strutter0812 Actually late 76. I am not gonna argue that point with you. And that was the only point I was trying to make. I wasn't debating Ratt's roots vs. Kiss roots, so please dont try to start that argument with me. All I was replying to was the fact that you said Ratt wasn't even an itch in their daddy's pants. Ok, maybe not the Ratt we all know and love, but Stephen started the journey in late 1976.
3:04 - Always hilarious to see the interaction between Paul and Gene - Paul's probably the only person in the world who can give Gene a gentle stage kick to get out of his airspace and not get fired or killed for it.
It's funny how people nowadays who have only recently got into KISS or just heard about them ignorantly spout, "oh yeah, KISS are awesome, but only the 70s stuff mind you, they went so downhill in the 80s and 90s"
Bruce and Eric play this song better than Ace and Peter ever did and Paul's vocals are top notch 20 years after their peak. KISS had to many posers listening to them because it was cool to like them because of the huge stage show etc...
this is my all time favorite era of Kiss. 1991-1995 ish. with Bruce and Eric Singer. on a guitar level Kulick is a University professor, Thayer is .....the janitor.
Not really. Bruce was good on a lot of the 80s stuff and great on Revenge but whenever he played a lot of the old KISS songs he didn't have that Ace sound that makes "Klassic Kiss." Thayer, like him or not, brings back that 70s vibe.
this is a great version. Paul's voice actually had a bigger range in 93 than it did in 77. sure Kiss weren't half the band that they were back in the 70's, but this is still a fantastic version of a great song.

if you werent around in the 70s then you dont get it...they were originals then, apart from cooper...this is a sad cover of that originality.... sound more like ratt then kiss, in fact paul looks like stephen pearcy there....yeah they shoulda kept the make up on,,,, pathertic when they tried to look like poison with the day glo colors and the fem make up...sad indeed
I miss Eric Carr, but this is my favorite version of KISS. Rock solid musicians versus a couple of drunks and/or guys that never practice to get better.
Hey this is fucking awesome I can't believe Paul just sang it almost exactly like Alive II. I'm in awe and I will watch this again and again. Too bad they are not in makeup. Fuckin' makin love.
And remember, Paul is probably the only person in the world who can do that to GENE SIMMONS--and live. This was SUCH a fantastic performance--soon after KISS had quietly turned back into a real rock and roll band for a little while, before the makeup came back on and their shareholders took sway again. (Once again--NOT a KISS-hater, I'm just sayin'...)
Check out Paul kicking Gene away just in the middle of the show, as he is getting back to sing at his mice stand. I guess this show was done right after the interview, that shows a little fight between Paul and Gene?
ahaha, That was cool. Nah, they're not pissed. I think that just happened to be Paul's mic. Since it was for tv, every one has their "SET" positions. On tv everyone can't be everywhere.
No puedo creer que Bruce haga semejante solo y el pelotudo que filmó esto se enfocó en Gene... por favor...

Love Bruce, but compared to the Alive II version, he couldn't carry Ace's jock strap.
