It doesn't look like they cut out the mouser fight because it was 'too difficult'. It looks like they replaced him to throw in some variety with the bosses (Rather than four mousers and whatnot)

You know what makes this game not as fun as other "mario" games. No power ups. Really those help make the game alot more fun and there is none in this game. Its still a fun platformer and I love the music lol.
