It isnt that these drummers are bad or lack creativity, they never get a chance to try anything new, because they write stuff to fight the guitar pieces, which all sounds the same, so they cant do alot of new stuff but change the patterns because the band itself can never come up with something more than a string difference for their songs.

Think of it this way; if you play Blues, you probably won't be doing much besides playing shuffle beats and other groovy, yet simple chops. If you play straightforward Death Metal, your groove will have to be tight and fast, something that compliments the aggressive nature of the music. In this context, I'm talking about blastbeats and fast footwork. JFAC isn't really technical to be honest, but that doesn't make them any less good as composers or musicians.
