@12hiddendragons Actually the origins of wushu came from the 1920's when the chinese government wanted to revive Chinese culture and decided to revise martial arts. They wanted to imitate the Japanese who had linked nationalism to sumo wrestling, so they held a series of National Tests in 1928 and 1933. Unfortunately there were so many injuries from the sparring section, the government decided it was too dangerous and decided to cut that from competitions and focus on forms.

wow cool. i do Wushu, but i suck alot xD slack too much during class. My mom is a wushu teacher, she is from China, and she use to train in Fuxian(forgot how u spell it) team. xD she started when she was 9 yrs old. :D and went to different countries to lead the teams. now she is in USA and just open a new studio her name is Wu Qiu Hua, u can find a few of her vids on yt, added by strangers o.o
