  • Eugh...I always thought this entire soundtrack sounded like dick.

Don't know why they couldn't make the instrumentation closer to the MSX port

  • @shalpp - I think it has to do with the difference in sound processing technology between the MSX and Sharp X68000. Gradius 2 uses PSG combined with a custom Konami SCC sound chip whereas Nemesis '90 Kai uses FM Synthesis + ADPCM through a Yamaha YM2151 and an OKI MSM6258, LA Synthesis through the Roland MT-32 and General MIDI through the Roland Sound Canvas family, all of which produce radically different sounds.

  • Play Nemesis '94

It's Nemesis 2 on here and it's much much closer to the original MSX games, going so far as to sample all the sound effects.

At least there the voices have some variation

  • OMG this sounds way better... That emu does this no justice.....

  • whoa.....its sounds like a remix. I think.

  • @bluelink9 - Truth is, it's not a remix. This is one of 3 different soundtracks available for Nemesis '90 Kai. The MIDI soundtracks are rarely ever used(and usually not with an actual device that's part of the Roland Sound Canvas line), so all you hear most of the time is the FM Synthesis soundtrack. I will soon upload the MT-32 version of this song for comparison purposes, then proceed to upload the rest of the MT-32 MIDI and SC-55 MIDI soundtracks.

  • @Ace9921 its not a remix....how chould I not know?!
