  • I know this is not Mark singing this, nor is he singing it in the movie, but he can sing pretty damn good real life.

  • Had never heard the original version, it's good but the movie version is way better. I wonder what version do Steelheart play live

  • marklip sang the whole movie if u look real close on the movie you can tell

  • @kayto97 you're an idiot! if you pay attention the lead singer of steelheart does the vocals in the movie it is not mark singing he is lip syncing dont believe me look it up!

  • best hard rock vocals ever! Matjevic is incredible!

  • rockstar version is alot better, just saying

where are the guitars squeels in the chorus?!?!

the whole song is alot weaker

  • @tetrooo Maybe sometimes it's the quality of the song that makes something good, not just some pinch harmonics.

  • Mark Wahlberg can sing surprised they did not use his voice. but its just like the Film Eddie and the Cruisers where you think Michael Pare is singing when it is John Cafferty.

When I hear songs from the movies I still picture Pare singing.

  • @Meren32 lip singing its fake

  • The Rock Star version is better I think, don't really like the Steelheart music post-Tangled in Reins...

  • Seems like he says "my yeah yeeaah" (even it doesn't make sense O.o).

  • Miljenko...no words.

  • Miljenkooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo <3

  • Fantastic.. now i know him.. spetacular. regards from portugal to this croatian singer!

"He became world renowned for his --- vocal range --- in the 1990s and is often cited as a strong influence of many singers."

  • Wunderbar! Hammergeil!

  • Naše gore list !!

  • is that fking flute or what ? but other parts of song rocks :D

  • Who disliked this song!!!!??? Goddammit, wtf is wrong with you!!??

  • its: Tear my flesh, from bone.

not: Tear my flesh from bone TO bone.

  • who was the for real singer for the tracks in the movie?

  • @theblackestseth It is Miljenko Matijevic ( Mili) from Steelheart for Wahlbergs vocals and Jeff Scott Soto for the Bobby Beers character ( original Steel Dragon singer in movie)

  • @prettypassion07 you could make one at myxer.

  • Absolutely hypnotic!!!

  • Guitar at 2:10 just gives me an eargasim.

  • Wish i could get this as a ringtone! Love this song!

  • @prettypassion07 Download? :)

  • The bass on this song chills you to the bone.

  • This song tears me up inside...

  • steelheart and Miljenko Matijevic are bigger than skid row and sebastian bach just listen to steelhearts songs stop comparing them.

  • @10000liverpool you cant say that bud, in your opinion maybe... Steelheart has some good songs but compared to Skid Row's late 80's early 90's success, Steelhaert is not in the same category. Writing more songs like this would have helped

    SDMF

  • @berserkers01 iam only saying that because this band got less credit for there songs than skid row i have listened to a lot of skid rows songs but in my opinion skid row has two well know songs 18& life and i remeber u. on the other side steelheart has ill never let you go, she's gone, we all die young and plus the Miljenko Matijevic's vocals and if u add steelhearts accident then who knows they would have been bigger ok skid row is ok dont get me wrong but they had no accident to deal withbro

  • @10000liverpool Good points bro, I can appreciate that. Not to mention that Steelheart was used in The Rock Star movie hahaha!!

you can't forget Rattlesnake Shake, Youth Gone Wild, Monkey Business, Slave to the Grind, Wasted Time, Psycho Love.... just some other great SR songs!!

    SDMF!!

  • I've been listening to this song on my playlist for more than 1 year everyday. this song is just that amazing =0

  • God I really miss this kind of music... bring back the good ol 80s..

  • good

  • Needs more Wylde.

  • I can't decide which version I like best - this original one or the film version....!

  • 36 people will cry alone

  • I'd love to hear steel panther cover this

  • Amazing how many people actually think Mark sang in this music. LOL

  • @mrblackwell467 haha underneath you baby..

  • @mrblackwell467 Marky Mark lives forever, lololololol

  • @mrblackwell467 He did some of the singing. Just didn't do the heavy squells. Watch the dvd with the commentary on. Unless the Producer is lieing about his movie, he talks about how Mark did the clean vocals and then Jeff Scott did the high screetches and squells.

  • @TheVmprblood5 That's just bullshit. The only people who sang in this movie was Jeff Scott Soto, Miljenko Matijevic, Myles Kennedy, Timothy Olyphant and Brian Vander Ark.

  • @TheVmprblood5 The only parts that Mark could possibly have sung were the fuck-up attempts during his audition for steel dragon.

  • @TheVmprblood5 No...Mark only did the vocals when the singing sounded more off than normal. Plus Jeff Scott Soto did the vocals for the actor that was the singer for Steel Dragon BEFORE Mark's character got the position. I'd know Miljenko Matijevic's vocals anywhere. I think you interpreted the commentary wrong at some point, because Miljenko did Mark's vocals. It says so in the movie credits, on wikipedia, and everywhere else.

  • @mrblackwell467 I must admit I thought that. Then I was sorely disappointed and embarassed. lol Good news is, NOW I KNOW!!! :D I was upset with Mark for not doing more music like this. As it turns out, he CAN'T. :/

  • @mrblackwell467 I am so ashamed to say initially I thought it!!! I'm so friggin gullible!!! :P When I found out who was really singing, it's like, well shit, no wonder it sounded AWESOME!!! Steelheart kicks ass.....

  • Man, I love steel dragon! Mark Wahlberg is such a good singer!

  • @backtobasesix Maybe, but hard to tell in the movie due to him not being one singing xD

  • @backtobasesix You DO realize your listening to SteelHEART and not Steel Dragon, right?

  • @EquestriaDJ hahahahahhahahha

  • i just cant believe in HOW Miljenko Matijevic used to sing, god.

  • greatest rock voice like ever

  • 34 little bieber fans should piss up a rope then use that same rope when they kick the chair over

  • This is actually a GREAT song!

  • STEEL DRAGON!!!

  • Man, hearing this song reminds me of another song; similar bass line/slow part but it was slower(I guess grunge or alternative...I think also in the 90s); can anyone help me out?

  • @knieban From the movie "Rock Star" starring Mark Whalberg. It was actually made more into a metal song than 80's hair rock.

  • @knieban i know exactly what you mean. but con not find it either

  • @knieban perhaps "Creep" by Radiohead?

  • @shakyuga

Nah it's not Creep. Thanks though. I've been listening to the radio trying to figure it out, lol.

  • @knieban President's of the USA "Peaches" is the song you are thinking of.

  • I love this song

  • Hate Bieber,love STEELHEART!!!!!!!!!!

  • Always good to hear the original of anything

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 You mean... what?! Still, it's good. It doesn't matter when it was written.

  • @AkelA984 true. but for this band's work to get proper credit, the generation today should surely be looked upon in shame... and maybe even killed lol. because 90% of people listen to dumb pop studio bullshit like those fucking trophy niggers lil' wayne, kanye west, lady gaga, justin beiber maybe? just pop crap that requires no talent. from the great words of MetallicA : "Kill Em' All"

  • How they didn't become an instant hit is beyond me. They even beat Alice Cooper and Metallica together! I AIN'T KIDDING, FANBOYS! Iron Maiden can go fuck themselves, Steelheart is the way to go!!! Rest in peace, folks! You were better, we just didn't know! And just how many times reality is better than a perfect american movie?! Daaamn, I was born at the wrong place at the wrong time...

  • @AkelA984 You cant just go saying for bands of that caliber like maiden and metallica stuff like that dude if you like it is a different story....

  • @prevomg Well, whatever. I'm just saying Steelheart deserves a place among them. Okay, I didn't know they were around in '96 (someone pointed this out here), but still, they're just as great, especially since Metallica became a disgrace to their own memory. St. Anger and anything beyond, you know. Maiden is a different story, they still rock, yeah, but they're too much of a gods of the genre... they could fart in the mics and their concerts would be still sold out. That's my point.

  • think the movie rockstar is a tribute to this band. same never herd of these guys till i watched the moview

  • I never heard of these guys until I watched Rockstar this week... fucking amazing!

  • @ghostKurt I definitely recommend lots of their material :) Miljenko (Mike) Matijevic can sing his ass off and his high notes are insane. In fact he's still got it today. Check out their songs like Electric Love Child, Sheila, Dancin' In The Fire, Can't Stop Me Lovin You, She's Gone, Late For The Party, Loaded Mutha, Steelheart, Sticky Side Up, etc besides their most popular stuff. Also if you wanna see this guy's power...look up Steelheart She's Gone Unplugged and Mike Matijevic Screams

  • I really love this song... its a legend...

  • without doubt one of the best songs i have heard! vocals are just amazing!!!

  • increible... que buen tema....

  • One of the greatest songs I've ever heard in my life!

  • i fuckin' died right now!

  • both versions are awesome and i didnt even know this was a real band. Im glad that i now know so i can buy some of their albums.

  • Seen Steelheart here in Cincy back in the 90's, UNBELIEVABLE, and Mike Matijevic is GORGEOUS and can sing his ASS OFF!! Gods I miss those days.......

  • best croatian singer ever.

  • Both versions of this song are good. This one is good if you want a more mellow, feeling of reminiscence tune (at least that's what this version does for me). The Rock Star movie version is good if you want faster, more guitar squealing, and more feeling of excitement.

  • is better the version of steel dragon

  • @ishitherockstar are you joking? its the same version!!!

  • XD yeahh¡¡¡¡ but i liked the version of steeldragon jaja

  • @ishitherockstar technically, this song is still Steelheart's...but it was redone some for the Rock Star movie

  • yeahhh

  • @caracu96 actually, in rock star, it's the same singer, but the song was re-recorded & made to sound more like a metal song, so they're 2 different versions.

  • Check out Kenny Kanowski with Chillin Sun Kenny wrote this song

  • \m/

  • I'd like to see Beiber try and sing this! I haven't seen a good comedy show iin a while.

  • 32 people were so old whn they were pressing like the died and the arrow clicked dislike cause he like hes owners :(

  • @jwan915 That made no sense.

  • @EpicDesires69 i figured that out late :(

  • @jwan915 lolwut?

  • @MrTeddy236 32 people die old thats why they didnt had chance to like and the arrow moved and disliked cause he like hes owner

  • @jwan915 ok thanks for the clarification your comment had many grammar errors lol

  • I like Steelheart and Matjevic voice VERY much but I think Eden's Curse version is better.

  • 32 peoples don't wanna die young

  • Great one, Miljenko Matijevic! Long live Croatia!

  • sounds right out of the late 60´s early 70´s era; i am digging it!

  • Why are people who are into Bieber checking out this video??? you should be checking out Hannah Montana or the like... lmao

  • @nybaby40 Why do you have to ruin the comment section of a great song with a stupid comment like that?

  • @Tollihreinn, because it's true?

  • @nybaby40 Its because they want to know what real music is.

  • This song epitomizes 80's hair metal, musical talent, and amazing male vocal ability. Simply amazing.

  • i think i broke the replay button as well man... great tune... seriously...

  • pure gold ur a fool not to like this or them

  • I like the Steel Dragon version better

  • @007WillSch - The same lead singer did the vocals for Steel Dragon.

  • @CuteKitten219 That is right, but he had a whole different band behind him and his voice was a bit more....harsh on the chorus. I prefer Zakk Wylde to this guitar player especially. Not sure of the rest of the make up of the band, but having Zakk behind him with those ballsy power chords and pinch harmonics and then that pentatonic shred solo that is his signature....So nice.

  • 30 people dont like this song because they dont f*cking know what the f*ck music is!!!

for the love of god i hate people, how think justin bieber is good omfg! THIS IS FUCKING MUSIC F*CK FACES!!!!!

  • As Ozzy said, what´s a Bieber?

  • STEELHEART I LOVE YOU TIL THE DAY I DIE THUMBS UP IF U AGREE!

  • yeah this guys are sooo fucking amazing!!! cant get enough of this song!!!!!!!!

  • 23 people don't have a steel heart <3

  • This is the original track from the Steelheart album "Wait". It was just re-recorded for the movie. Has a little more tempo in the movie but same song with same vocals. Bought debut album when it hit US stores and been a fan ever since. Best band of the "Hair" era.

  • @DropkickTheDinosaur Glad to see you see things our way from my generation...

  • this version sucks compared to steel dragon version

  • @nintendo768 The steel Dragon version is the same one. Just cleaned up..

  • @Philip02K The steel dragon one is more hardcore.

  • this song is good , but when Matijevic's vocals meet Zakk Wylde it becomes great

  • If I could sing like that I would fuck alot of girls, god bless that fucking voice

  • danm. i fucking cried the first time i herd this song. GOD BLESS the 80th

    ROCK N ROLL FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • No. Bieber will not be remembered more than this band, or many other bands that aren't in the spotlight or in the mainstream. But music like this is something pop music rarely is, it's timeless. And it's another thing pop rarely is, it's pure talent. Whether you like the song or not, or the genre, if you're honest, you recognize the raw talent behind the vocalist. There is more to musical value than how many people know about it or even like it. It's not dollars and cents.

  • =.( such a beautiful song.

  • Epic movie rockstar is and what an epic song this is nicely done!

  • @DropkickTheDinosaur Thanks for the great comment I actually wrote the song .Check out some of my other stuff under Chillin Sun or Kenny Kanowski. Thanks for the props

  • Justin Beiber blows them both out of the water.

  • @StoopidM0nkey23 That's a joke right?

  • Yeah Beiber rocks. Stupid ass!

  • @timm441 You can't disagree with half a billion views. Biggest singer there is nowadays. He's a pimp.

  • Something that is popular can still suck. In order for something to be a success, lots of people have to like it. And people suck. There aren't enough qualified connoisseurs of music or art or literature to make something a hit. In order to be huge, morons must necessarily get on board too. Does that mean that anything that's popular, must suck? No. You have Shakespeare, The Beatles, and Citizen Kane. You can be great and popular. But popularity itself is not the test of greatness.

  • @julezz1993 This is a little something I found on crack and it's meant as a response to the moron down there who says that Bieber must rock because he has half a billion views. Most of the views are from people mocking him by the way.

  • @julezz1993 You're on crack? That's why you don't like Beiber. He's amazing. Damn Beiber hating crackheads!
