I have thought about this and I wonder if we humans are only prolonging the suffering of a sick animal that only suffers more because we "helped" it back into the ocean.
The dolphin kept swiming back to shore for days, that is why they finally had to take a boat to take the dophin to deeper water. By some of you guys comments i understand you dont speak spanish, so that is why i wanted to make this clear.
I understand how the residents were curious and wanted to help it, but most likely they were making it worse. The dolphin could be going under major stress by what they were going, probably causing it mental and physical problems. If they REALLY wanted to help the dolphin they needed to call a registrated vet or Marine Doctor to come down and correctly help it. If the residents just carried it back to the water the porpoise most likely would have beached again.
i bet that dolphin knows that it could be easily put back in the water but those fags had to wait for the fucking news douches to come and recored it suffering.
they had to wait for the local news to arrive before they returned the dolphin to the water. Yeah commendable their effort, BUT...what were they waiting for? the water was just inches away from them
This is why experts tell laymen not to touch stranded animals. You get inexperienced people jumping on them and grabbing them and doing all sorts of idiot things. And often simply putting the animal back in the water doesn't solve the problem. Still, it was a thoughtful gesture and an understandable one. By the way, I'm pretty sure that was a Fraser's dolphin, which is quite rare. Lucky find.

they shouldn't be touching the dolphin so much. the oil and germs on our skin is bad for their sensitive skin. and that kid shouldn't be jumping over her back and forth. its already stressful for the dolphin - the kid made it worse.
but whatever, at least the dolphin swam away in the end...
Sheesh, give them a break. I understand that that kid shouldn't have been jumping on her so much, but it's not like they knew it was so bad to touch her skin so much, they were just trying to help.. not everyone knows so damn much about them like you do, especially from a 3rd-world-country
ohh BOO HOOO no affence but u should be freakin lucky the dolphin didnt die, and the kid only jusmed over the dolphin once to help the dad wash the dolphin down, JEEZ... watch the video again

Carly, I'm just saying!! Ok..?. i said AT LEAST THEY GOT FREE IN THE END. But when I first clicked to the video, I expected more of a "Whale Rescue Team" video..
Well most people in 3rd world countries can't afford "Whale Rescue Teams", most would leave the dolphin there to die, so don't complain when these people who are very unfortunate themselves take so much effort to save a wild life. And yet you have the nerve to complain about touching its skin..
What the hell is your problem, peepchick? this is a 3rd-world-country we're talking about here, they have no knowledge of what the oils and germs on our hands can do to their skin. Hell, I didn't even know that.
They selflessly combined their efforts to free the dolphin, isn't that what matters?? And you wonder why no one here on Youtube likes you.
And incase you didn't read my other comments, I said it's great they freed the dolphin. That was the objective and they got it done. They did a good job.
It was nice of the public to all pitch in on this.
Yeah I read the other comments you wrote, and despite what you're saying now, you sure as hell didn't sound real grateful then, by writing things like "but whatever, at least (at least?..) the dolphin swam away in the end..."

People over there do probably know what germs and oils can do to the
dolphins skins, they just wanted to save the dolphin's life really badly.
Like I said before, there are no dolphin rescue teams around that area.
The only one there is hundred of miles away and it would take many hours
for them to get over there. I do think the gov.of Panama should have a
cetacean rescue team there,I think now the gov.doesn't have the resources
to do that yet. The good thing is that the dolphin survived.

There is a new animal research center that will open in Coiba Island
and scientists will study, watch and help cetaceans of the Pacific Ocean.
That institute is in construction and will be close to this island. I am hoping
they will be able to save dolphins. I heard a lot of dolphins in Coiba Island
get stranded and are hurt by the excess of boats that go by. Let' s hope
that place can send teams to help dolphins in this beach someday.

In Panama, there is an animal rescue organization called ANAM,they
probably work unti 3 PM. They help out all animals, but it takes too long
for them to show up since their offices are in Panama City that is hundreds
of miles away from towns and this beach,They don't have regional offices anywhere else. Also,in Panama, things go really slowly nothing is done in
speedy times. I still think the residents of this beach should have called them
anyway, they would have arrived hours later.
