@jummuu I have had two of them for two years now. Gabriel and Angel only ran around because Angel kept trying to dominate Gabriel. Now they can't be near each other because they try to kill each other... :( Now Gabriel stays with my youngest, Mosley, and Angel stays in a smaller cage that I place in front of their cage so Angel can at least see and talk to them.

@hcsproductionsLPS We designed and built it. If you can do a six foot by three foot anything; that is what a cavy needs to live in when he/she is not out romping a larger area. The playtime/romping should be done daily.

@katieowl2780 Piggies smell as fresh as the bedding that you give them. If you have a big cage and three piggies, change the aspen chips and hay once per week. Your piggies' fur will be brushed shiny from the hay and there will be no ill odor.

I was spending more time with her before I took her to the guinea pig rescue to pick out more friends. You DID see only one piggie, but it was temporary. She loves her new friends! I love guinea pigs (we have 2 at home) and I don't like the fact that some people don't know enough about them to make them happy. They only take one or they put them in a too small cage (yours is really big compared to most of the cages). I think people should get more information on guinea pigs before they get one, or actually 2 or more.

@Guineapigluver13 You can teach them to run up carpeted stairs: Make them 'stand up' to the next stair, lift their butt until they hop up to the next stair. Start slowly with frequent, small treats for their accomplishment. Soon they'll be doing five stairs at a time, then all of them! That's how I taught Madison. Do it every day... within three weeks you'll have stair climbers. Good luck!

my piggies used to do that when they lived inside but now they live outside and i'm not allowed to bring them in. they used to run up the stairs, into my room, down the stairs again, through the hall, into the room with their cage, then they jumped onto a chair and into the open cage door, to find a nice carrot waiting for them!

now i'm training my baby guinea pigs to come when i call their name but it isn't working because they can't go 10 seconds without each other! :-O

Sell the hamsters. A lot of mice/rats/hamsters(rodents) etc mate in the same blood line. It can cause abnormalities in them, not always but there is always the possibility. I had 2 guinea pigs for almost a year. Male and female and they were soul males but not once did they mate. It was strange because my male was a real stud but no babies. :)

@DclawGhost maybe you should keep the boys with the daddy and the girls with the mummy and give some to your local pet shop if you have to many. maybe then you could get some guinea pigs and keep the other hamsters. it'll be hard work but i have 3 gerbils - one in a different cage due to a fight, 2 guinea pigs in one cage and 2 baby guinea pigs in another cage and i still give them all the love and attention they need - and more!

The GPs make a lot of diferent noises, squeaks, purrss (like cats is so cute), chirps, etc.

Some mean they want something like food, mine squeak when they hear the fridge opening or bags. And purrr when I hold them in my arms. Also dont let them eat paper, is not good, specially paper with ink, and yes sometimes when they are nervous they poop a lot or pee on you :P Just be patience with ur lil one :)
