Hey nice project man. Do you have a blowoff valve? If you do it doesn't sound like its opening enough or at all. It's pretty loud considering you weren't even getting it to boost much. Not overly dangerous but it's not great for it either :) congrats and good luck
hahaha have to google up which RB engines have been factory made? idiots, fuck off with your copy n paste. Rb30s come out single cam, so the DE heads gone. N/A 25 head is the best i believe?
Dude it's been so long since I've been on here that i did't even know you had this!! haha nice job man! I've been workin on some new stuff too. Car looks great man. Nice Swap. Hope to see more on this in the future :) Keep rockin brother!!
RB30 doesn't exist though. I mean Nissan didn't make it. So basically it's an RB25 for yours and just bored it out? (Judging it's an RB25 since it's a single turbo?)
@pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR hey the rb30 does exist from what I read,in austrial it was put into a car made by chevy, chevy made a deal with nissan for these motors or something like that.an it was a rb30 came non turbo an single turbo, but alot of people from what I see put a rb25-rb26 head on it. At least thats what i saw about the motor, but their isnt alot of after market stuff for them yet.their is stuff out their but just not the same amount of stuff like you can find for te rb26
The Black specification was introduced in the 1984 Holden VK Commodore. In the VL series of 1986, Holden ceased the tradition of employing Australian-made and designed six-cylinder engines, instead opting for the Nissan RB30 engine. This came because pending emission standards and the requirement for unleaded fuel made it difficult to re-engineer the engine. Holden was a sub company of GM,an they made a deal to buy these motors the RB30DE and RB30DET an put them into their cars
we are finishing up the swap on ours.. question- there was a hks downpipe on the rb25det.. what did you do to make it work on the s14 since really there is no clearence for it. we just bought one online but it seems we would still need to fabricate it to the existing one on the rb25det. just wanted to know how you did it.
@skylineracer360 Just to let you know the "flutter" would be something known as purging, it happens when the BOV springs and other components aren't set right. The fluttering is the turbo not making any boost so it should only be heard when your not accelerating.
Congrats man! are you in the DFW area? Been watching your vids for a while now and only recently Im seeing things that look near by in your videos. Had the wide smoke too when i first started my rb24 in my S14. Like you said its just the "just put everything together factor"
Are RB30's legal over there in Texas? Or is that more of a gray zone? If I remember correctly, we can't have them here in Cali legally in anything '76 and newer due to Emissions BS. But congrats on getting the car running!
