Mr Nabors was a good singer and a comedian. after the jim nabors hour got axed by CBS he stopped comedy to focus on his singing career.

This skit has two practical uses: it's hilarious (of course), and it demonstrates the power of Jim Nabors's singing voice. This is another act adopted from Sesame Street, only here (unlike with Manahmanah) I find it to outshine the original considerably.

@setheurovision94 I think the girl muppet was probably too short to reach him, so that explains why she was caressing him and kissing his chest instead of kissing him on the cheek or lips at 0:46-0:48
