Also, if you'd browse some youtube-barbershop footage, you would find out that the barbershop audience is a very diverse one. Personally I'm from Belgium, and you could find many track enjoyed by people from a variety of country's, including Sweden, Germany, Danmark, France, UK and many more.

Not everybody can be equally smart or clever, but in your case, it makes me sad that, whatever we say or do, you will never realize that you are obviously not to gifted with intelligence

barbershop doesn't get hits in the top 40 because its not mainstream music, it is loved by its own audience and they dont get involved in huge record deals

its the same story as dance or techno music. You dont hear any of that in the charts but it still has a huge appeal. And besides, I personally would rather listen to barbershop, or techno for that matter than 99% of modern music

One reason that Barbershop songs don't hit the Top 40 is because they're not sold through the usual channels. Few Barbershop artists sign up with the Big Five that Billboard tracks. They either self-publish (e.g. FineyLeee's MP3 "CD") or publish through companies such as Naked Voice Records that specialize in a capella.

That way, they don't have to deal with the RIAA, etc. This is a good thing both for them and their fans.
