  • YES, but the singing was Julie!!!!!!!!!

  • 夢のような楽曲群"マイ・フェア・レディ"~真のハリウッド・ヴォイス、マーク・ニクソン~感涙のサントラ”踊りあかそう”~勿論最高のオードリー!! #eiga

  • Vaginal fluid!

  • 45 ppl are anti-american terrorist..

  • Everyone needs to shut it. Julie was simply not asked to play the part of Eliza. Aubrey was so famous at the moment, they knew more people would go to see her.

  • @voaro acutally she was, and at first, Audrey refused the part and said they should give it to Julie but they kept calling her back.

  • I never knew about Marni Nixon until just now. My whole life I've thought Audrey was the most amazing singer in the world. It's all been a lie :P

  • one time i sing this and a lady said: I have not expect that!

  • she looks abit sexy after she got reall pretty lol guys mwa mwa

  • Marni Nixon is one of the most tremendous assets to the musical world there has ever been, such a shame she went unnoticed :(

  • I have always liked this song!

  • How many floors does the house have?!...=O

  • full marks to audrey,

    esp for lip synching.

    -

@sun1010smile many reasons why ppl think there was injustice in depriving julie andrews of the part.

1/ julie andrews played the part successfully in original and very successful broadway musical

2/ andrews can sing as required

3/ while neither was a 19 year old as required, andrews was younger than audrey

4/ almost everyone connected with this(actors, rex included ,and musical's writers and producers etc) wanted andrews.

    jack warner sucks!

  • @hammertapping the best part of the whole fiasco (because that's what it was) is that the studio though Andrews wasn't well-known enough to carry a film.... and she went on to win the Oscar for Best Actress in "Mary Poppins." Perfect comeuppance!!!

  • I think Audrey and Julie were both equally wonderful at this part.

  • @EVideoJ77 i agree with you

  • fantastica <3<3<3

  • Thumbs up if you know who Marni Nixon is and why this movie would have sucked without her :)

  • @RichardElden oh for god sakes! you haven't given up yet? your comments date back to almost one year ago (probably even more). we know you're a troll. you and that juanmacready account are probably the same person. fortunately that account has been closed. now if only yours would then maybe you could leave those of us with actual taste alone. WE KNOW YOU ARE A TROLL.

  • Oh wait, Just read wiki, I feel a fool

  • Julie Andrews is DEAD!? HOW did I not know this!? this is too much a bombshell!!!

  • @1tribune1 Julie andrews is alive Audrey is dead

  • @RichardElden Yes. She looked wonderful until her death. She was a beuatiful woman.

  • I sang this song after my prostate exam.

  • @RichardElden She looked gorgeous, as usual.

  • <3

  • Comment removed

  • She is the most beautiful woman. Inside and outside. She is and always will be missed.

  • any one else find it hard not to sing along??

  • I can't imagine anyone else playing Eliza but Audrey , let alone wearing that gorgeous white gown!

  • Audrey hepburn was a legend!

She was great, no she is great!!

  • I felt she was a bit too old for the part and it was odd since she couldn't sing but she just LIGHTS UP THE SCREEN so I don't care =)

  • Many people say Julie Andrews should have played Eliza, but in my opinion, Audrey is amazing and I can't imagine anyone else. She's perfect for the part. :))

  • @sun1010smile It would have been perfect if she were actually singing...

  • @sun1010smile. I agree but she (julie) was still told that she had no screen charisma. And who won the oscar that year? Ms Andrews.

  • @jonathan6683 I honestly love both actresses a lot. And I think Julie Andrews has A LOT of screen charisma: :)

  • @TheTabi11 I watched it once in a film class back in high school. Don't worry, you'll enjoy it. The opening song, "Loverly" caught my attention right away, the "move your bloomin' ass!" scene had me laughing so hard, and THIS scene ("I Could Have Danced All Night") had me applauding so hard, my hands grew sore from clapping. It's a great musical.

  • Audrey is awesome ! I love her vocal chords!

  • @RichardElden I am very sorry but you are judging someone basically because she couldn't sing. She was a brilliant actress and was gracefull as she entered the screen. Please refrain from polluting the web with your crap. How dare you call her a whore.

  • A troll hath passed this way methinks?

  • @RichardElden Unlike a lote of other comments mine is different I don't agree with you AT ALL but you're judging someone you never met, never knew, and will never be able to meet. I LOVE Julie Andrews and also would rather have her as Eliza but there's nothing we can do now Audrey is Eliza acting wise and Julie is Eliza singing wise. But don't call hepburn a whore because we don't really know her or how she was her emotions, drama, backround any of that it's unknown. btw research is rummers.

  • now i would just say something to everybody who watches this and also reads the comments of richard: do not react to his insults. he's just trying to make us angry and all who love this song and movie, no matter who actually sings (including myself) should be happy watching this vid!

  • OMG what a face! What a bright smile! And what ecstatic eyes!

  • lol, RichardElden is so sad, he's been making negative comments for like a year. Watch yourself, RichardElden, the last person like you, JuanMacready, got their account deleted

  • lol, I didn't even attempt the last note

  • marvelous...simple as that

  • i only know when he began to dance with me i could've danced danced danced.. all night...

  • I'm a 20 year old college male who never had a real girlfriend let alone kissed......maybe because I keep telling women that the only woman I want in my life is Audrey Hepburn.

  • @crunchmaster9000 She was the angel in the movie Always.

  • i love this song so much that i am going to sing it for my singing lessons concert i can't wait

  • Such a sad thing to see such ugly words near something so beautiful.

  • @RichardElden She wanted Julie Andrew's to play it when she found out that Julie Andrew's had wanted this part! She isn't even a skank or a slut! She could sing just not profesionally! Acting was her talent, and she got her roles by only that you sick-minded shit! You're just jealous! And I know what you're gonna say: Jealous of a talentless slut who gave herself cancer? BUT you are exactly what you call her except she wouldn't be glad if you died OR insult you!

  • @RichardElden You are the fugliest person I've ever met! Oh wait I haven't met you because you're just an internet troll and you're only company is you're computer! Seriously you're GLAD SHE DIED!? Glad one of the world's biggest icons and greatest actresses died? It's your opinion usually I don't care! But you crossed the line! Unless she hurt you personally (she wouldn't) but even so I WOUDN'T BE GLAD ANYONE EVEN MY WORST ENEMY (about to be you) DIED! Stop trolling you jealous talentless shit!

  • @RichardElden Seriously? UGLY? I'd like to compare a picture of your girlfriend with Audrey Hepburn! Oh that's right you obviously don't have a girlfriend or you wouldn't spend all your time commenting negative comments on youtube about one of the greatest actresses of all time! Unless your idea of a great actress is some big breasted girl in a wet t-shirt. You seem disturbingly depressed you know! Go and pick on someone you actually have a chance of defeating!

  • @RichardElden See how you keep avoiding anything everyone keeps saying about you? That's delusional. :)

  • @RichardElden Well, you can have that opinion, it's fine with me because I know I can't convince you, but I hope you try and get help for whatever deep problems you have. :)

  • Everyone should really calm down. RichardElden is a piece of garbage troller who is looking to get a rise out of everyone. And it's working. So just ignore him and enjoy this amazing song. We all know Audrey Hepburn is truly beautiful and talented, as well as Marni Nixon and Julie Andrews. And we all know that RichardElden is a cockroach pissing us off. :) Just listen to the song, it'll make you feel better. Haha.

  • Awesome. Although I think Julie Andrews still has one over her :-) That being said Audrey Hepburn is still fantastic.

  • @Superssam87 However, it worked out in Julie Andrew's favor because she was filming Mary Poppins during this time and it won her an Oscar!!

  • @RichardElden Whatever. I'm not going to be a bitch and fight on someone's video. But for the record, you're a sick bastard, spending all your time posting negative comments. Sad fuck.

  • @RichardElden Why would you say that stuff? Just 'cause you're some lonely, ugly, sad old man living in your mother's basement replying to comments on this video. It just shows that you're JEALOUS!!!

    Prick.

  • @RichardElden Do you just eagerly spawn-camp this video all day waiting for incoming comments so you can fire off one of your half-assed attempts at trolling? Get a (better) hobby.

  • @RichardElden No. She was BORN beautiful, you idiot.

  • Whether you like Audrey as Eliza or not, can't we all just agree that this is a great song?

  • You guys know this RichardElden kid is just trolling, right? Ignore him. He wants your reactions, he doesn't really care about Audrey Hepburn one way or another.

  • Wow, Audery Hepburn is really beautiful :)

  • 41 people cant dance :)

  • She's sooooo charming!! I love you Audrey!!

  • Audrey Hepburn & Julie Andrews sing this so beautifully.

  • ah si Floranne me faisait une vidéo en chantant ça ! Ou quelqu'un qui chante aussi bien avec une aussi belle voix.; Et toi Maureen ?

  • Just saw the movie for first time last night and I just love it so much! <3

  • Listen very closely and you'll hear Audrey's vocals at the intro. "Bed, Bed, I couldn't go to bed." and "Sleep, sleep, I couldn't sleep tonight." Marni dips in to complete the verses. Unlike West Side Story Marni dubbed Hepburn before production. In WSS, Marni had to come in and do reverse dubbing for Natalie Wood. That is she had to sing to Wood's vocals which was incredibly difficult. Bob Wagner, Natalie and Robert Wise previewed the film with Wood's vocals and Wagner was brutally honest.

  • It's actually Marni Nixon who sings for Audrey Hephburn in this movie and she also did it for "The King and I" and "West Side Story". I think it was good that back then they did that instead of casting popular stars who can't sing and then making them sing, like they do now. Back then they could tell when someone could sing and when they couldn't.

  • Isn't this transposed down from Julie's original broadway recording?

  • When Eliza sings she sounds like what a british woman is supposed to talk

  • What a horrible "person" RichardElden is

  • What a gal. I love Audrey!

  • julie andrews is a better singer but this version is nice too !

  • Why don't you all just ignore Dick Elden (and the other trolls)?

  • Dear RichardElden, SHUT THE FUCK UP. NO ONE CARES FOR YOU. NO ONES WANTS TO HEAR YOUR STUPID ASS COMMENTS. NOW RUN ALONG BACK TO SPECIAL ED..THEY MIGHT BE SERVING FRENCH FRIES NOW.

  • @RichardElden i beg to differ. they did just fine

  • @RichardElden And I'm so glad you're wasting your time here when you could be doing something useful. Even if I hated you, I wouldn't be laughing at your gravestone. By the way, you just gave this video one more view.

  • trolledhard.jpg

I freaking love this film. Definitely one of my favourites currently, though it is a slight guilty pleasure (some people have trouble thinking you're straight after you tell them you like it haha). It does have flaws, but everything does.

There's nothing wrong with idolizing Audrey, but I don't like fake fans (e.g. ones that call themselves fans because they have a B@T poster).

She was still fairly sluttish though, much to my dismay.

  • Such an amazing actress! I have yet to see this movie and I can't wait to find it!

  • je ne comprendrai jms pourquoi certaines personnes viennent regarder des videos de chanteurs ou autres si c est pour ensuite laisser des commentaires aussi cons ! tu n aimes pas, ne regardes pas !!!

  • @RichardElden And what "kind" words do you have to say about Julie Andrews?!! I can only imagine.

  • She's trying to say that she loves him

  • She's STILL beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

  • @imissedthelikebutton You are a disgusting perverted person. Audrey Hepburn is one of the most iconic and most talented women in the world. I don't know how you can sit around an come up with things like that in your mind. I mean seriously. Disgusting!!

  • @RichardElden You´re a WHORE

  • @RichardElden You really do come across as (and I use this term lightly) a person who is full of hate, contempt and jealousy. What, were you rejected one too many times by the theater for lack of talent?!! I think so. There is no reason for you to use vulgarity and such distasteful language. You

    Can't

    Understant

    Normal

    Thinking

Why are you so afraid to use your real name? Many of us would like to know your answer!!

  • @RichardElden YOU´re just jealous of Audrey Hepburn bc she was an amazing actress and an extraordinary human being and you´re just NOBODY less that a piece of shit.

  • @RichardElden You, 'DICK', were apparently miscast as a HUMAN!!!! It's obvious that you don't have any friends, and we can all understand why. You know that saying 'misery loves company', well you should look for company elsewhere and try to get a life!!

  • @RichardElden If you hate her so much, why do you waste your "precious" time watching her? Seriously, do something better with your time than flaming videos like these. >.<

  • How could a woman still look this beautiful when she's 35?

  • @RichardElden Why do you watch these clips then?

  • To all of you out there saying Audrey Hepburn was a skank and a bad person and a terrible actress....um wow. She is the very definition of class. She did tons of charity work and was a brilliant humanitarian. And as for a bad actress, have you never heard of classics such as Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Roman Holiday? She was a classy and lovely person.

  • @girlygirl1833 I know. I can't believe these people. Audrey is my all time favorite actress, She has inspired many people including me to be classy and charitable.

  • @Tokiohotelgirl97 I know right! I'm only a child but I already dream of becoming a great actress like her who is also kind and beautiful! Can't people stop picking on tiny little flaws you find in everyone including Audrey Hepburn who probably wouldn't find any flaws in anyone and if she did she definitely woudn't mention them! She is my idol! If they came to this video they shouldn't post negative comments! Can't they just leave her alone?

  • @girlygirl1833 She is my idol! When I grow up I want to be an actress like her and still be kind and charitable! Why is everyone so mean!? They're probably just jealous of her talent beauty and heart! It's not that she couldn't sing it's just that she wasn't a professional singer! Nobody's perfect, but she's the closest to perfect. I know I can't persuade others to realise her talent but I'm not going to stop trying. She got her roles because of her talent! JUST WATCH THE VIDEO AND YOU'LL KNOW!

  • Absolutely wonderful <3

  • una canción plena de vitalidad y magia...llena al corazon de felicidad

  • @RichardElden What is your issue with this actress, huh? After seeing hundreds of the completely insane and INHUMAN things you said about her on so many Youtube videos, any human being on this planet would immediately condemn you to the mental institution. Are you really 19, then why SO MUCH HATE? Huh? Did she personally do something to you? You have your whole life ahead of you, try and do and say something which brings a smile to other people's faces. You'll feel better too.

  • @KiopGenJin If he is 19 wouldn't that mean Hepburn was dead when he was born?

  • @RichardElden You are a fucking idiot. Ok? Capish!!

  • @RichardElden How was she a skank?!

  • @RichardElden Are you kidding me?

  • @RichardElden

She didn't know they put Andrews' voice over hers in the final cut, so how is she supposed so mime in sync?

  • @GobiLux I know! I'm still trying to overcome the rage I just felt towards "RichardElden" I think we should just try and calm down, enjoy the video and IGNORE that Dick's comments. He's just jealous!

  • GLEE !!!!!!!!

  • @kimberly1410 bahaha that's where i first heard this song ;) lolol

  • I never tire of watching this clip!

Marni's voice is amazing and the loveliness of Audrey goes without saying.

  • is this her real voice?

  • @noritacochicha no, it's marni nixon's voice.

  • This is my favourite song in the whole movie... next comes the song: Show Me.

    BEAUTIFUL!

  • love it!

  • Excelente

  • Excelente melodía.

  • Wow. That girl's got it bad.

  • 40 people couldn't dance all night

  • @RichardElden well i heard that it isnt...

  • is this her singing?

  • @TheTomBales Audrey is not singing. She was dubbed by a woman named Marni Nixon. She also sang for Deborah Ker in "The King and I"

  • she is my inspiration even though she didn't sing that song. but her interpretation was breathtaking

  • That's Marnie Nixon singing

  • Richard, you're being played for a fool! You've been at this for years! It's time to set down that hat that you're wearing, and just give up on trolling forever. You are achieving nothing, bro. Just try it, man!

  • @RichardElden You really have no life do you. No wonder you are always on these videos trashing a women from a movie whom has been gone for nearly two decades. You are truly pathetic and to be pitied you miserable retched thing.

  • @Sessylius

To a certain degree, Richard is right. The leading Actress SHOULD have given to Julie Andrews because she was the original Eliza in My Fair Lady in Broadway productions. Warner Brothers made a commercial decision to boot Julie for Audrey and they never told Audrey that her voice would be dubbed.

In that year, the Best Actress went to Julie (for Mary Poppin) and not Audrey.

All is history. Julie had no bad feelings, because Sound of Music made her a superstar later.

  • @barrhavener Yup! And Audrey is still my idol and a great actress but so is Julia Andrews! And Audrey didn't want the role after hearing that Julie originally was meant to play it! AND Richard may be right in that but that doesn't give him the right to say she's a fugly slut and so on and that he's glad she died! I think he should stop being a jealous troll and I agree with you 100% although I still think Audrey was miraculous in this!

  • @haileytheunicorn

Yes, I believe in freedom of speech, but human rights do not include insulting other people.

  • @haileytheunicorn

Ah! Richard ? The beauty of "freedom of speech" !!

May be Julia Roberts and Richard Gere should re-make "My Fair Lady" rather than filming "Pretty Woman", and have Marni Nixon dub the singing again. Afterall, the two plots are similar.

  • I remember being in my first year of junior high when my music teacher had us watch this movie in class. Have loved it ever since!

  • I could've danced all night. If only my legs weren't broken.

  • Am I the only one who see David Tennant singing drunk when I hear this song...?

  • @ThaNea193 definately not, that was the first thing i thought of when i saw the title lol

  • Cancer Girl, thats a little offensive. She did have a name and its Audrey Hepburn a screen legend. The reason she was dubbed when singing in this is because Audrey cant sing opera. But in Breakfast At Tiffany's she sings perfectly well when singing Moon River. She can sing, just not opera.

  • @RichardElden Who's "Cancer Girl"?

  • @RichardElden Marni Nixon did such an excellent job singing this song that even the audience did not know that the great Audrey Hepburn was not the singer of this song. That her voice sounded " thin & reedy" here perfectly suited her " representation" of Ms Hepburn who appeared a bit "thin and reedy" here. For the info of YT viewers, Marni Nixon was also the singer of fabulous song "Getting To Know You" in the musical film "The King & I " which starred the great Yul Bryner & Deborah Kerr.

  • Kiddies, you simply have no idea how so so so special YouTube is.

You are growing informationally; scientifically (faster;) as to knowledge of historical

understanding; and, take it from a former atheist, morally. That's because information is mathematical, all people are infinitely variable exactly like life everywhere, all are true (the "Buddha" understood our shortcomings and chance for "transformation" and thus transformed, though his exp may have been exagrated) cmprt unvs, cmptr you.BY

  • simply happens saw Rex Harrison's very last performance -- this play -- en route to my honeymoon

  • 40 people are justin bieber fans >:(

  • How cute

  • What a great song, do rousing and passionately performed by the gorgeous Audrey Hepburn. One of my all time favourites!!!

  • I coùld have danced danced danced all niiiiiiiight!!!!

  • Marni Nixon is a great singer. And the writer and composer of this song is truly musically gifted.

  • Julie Andrews sang on Broadway Marni Nixon sang in the movie

  • I always remember my father and I as a little kid would always listen to either this, camelot, or oklahoma in the car on our way to go play golf :)

  • I love this song!!!

  • My Fair Lady is an alluring musical.

  • Oh Marni Nixon, you have a lovely voice.

  • well done julie andrews

  • 世界一の美女ですね!

  • @RichardElden get back in your box

  • @RichardElden u r a nasty fucker!!! Cancer affects 1 in 3 people u little shit fucker! And by the way how old was Rex fucking Harrison here! MEGA OLD!!!!!

  • @RichardElden thats a disgusting thing to say regardless of who the person is you're talking about. Have some respect.

  • @RichardElden Don't eat the Burger King "Angry Whopper", and especially, don't go online to Youtube after eating it..

  • Then why the hell r u watching it, HMMMM!!!!!

  • @RichardElden No, it's not; grow up.

  • @RichardElden Wouldn't that be the point though? The job of a dubber is to extrapolate as to what the actress would sound like if she could sing well and imitate that. I think Marni Nixon achieved the goal on this. The singing voice is what Audrey would sound like if she were a soprano or a professional singer. Also, is your wording really necessary? You don't have to like her, but please respect the public space.

  • @ArtSkateLove i couldnt agree more!

  • Is Julie Andrews singing this? That's what I keep hearing but her voice really seems to have Audrey's accent...so who really sang it?

I love it whoever did!!! And they both rock!!!!!

  • @maoamgirl5775 Her dubber was Marni Nixon. Rudy Fehr, head of post production, made that decision after other Warner Brothers higher ups couldn't decide. Personally, I think that Ms. Nixon (Who sang for Deborah Kerr in 'the King and I', and Natalie Wood in 'West Side Story') was the perfect choice and is a very convincing singing voice for Audrey Hepburn due to her matching the timber of Audrey's voice. Others seem to be less convinced.

  • What a beauty! Audrey <3

  • audrey's version is much better (her own voice)

  • It is really a loverly song, and I had sang it for my music examination too~~~

  • I sang this song the night of my first kiss when I was 16. I said I would and I did ^^

  • @LisicaLove Lol wow.

  • 39 people didnt like it!!! Amazing.....they just came from an Amy Winehouse´s show.

  • For all of the people who think Audrey couldn't sing just because she didn't sing in My Fair Lady, she sang Moon River in Breakfast at Tiffiany's and she sang all of her songs in Funny Face

  • I love this version :) Although I prefer Julie Andrew's more

  • i love this song, but EXACTLY how many floors did that Higgins House have???
