This PV reminds me a lot of my friend who had moved all the way across the states.... My interpretation of the PV is that the blue haired on just moved without telling her best friend. But when she enters HS, she is bullied (bandages and slit cuts) and cuts herself from her old self. But when she returns she feels more at ease that her friend doesn't hate her anymore.

In Japan things like simpsons would be called anime because that is the word they use. We simply took the japanese word for cartoon and used it to name japanese cartoons, making anime a sub-category of cartoon. It's the same with manga, in japan it refers to all comics but we use it as a way of saying japanese comics.
