Chuck Connelly is one of a kind ! He's a great artist. I'm an artist too. There's a possibility that he's using UTube to create a kind of film or an enactment.?He has a typical artist lifestyle, my father my brother myself are all artists. My father drank, I don't but the life is hard on your spirit because you are the target of the success and failure too! Artists are insecure, they doubt themselves. We're just trying to mirror our souls our feelings.I would buy a Chuck Connelly fast ...

Mark Kostabi is a tool. Chuck is a fantastic painter. But as I remember from encountering him, he's a dick.

An interesting comment, which is a rarity on youtube. I always thought of Mark Kostabi as an unoriginal tool maker. Whereas Chuck despite being the obviously superior painter of the two, doesn't understand the finesse required for lasting success.

I went to school with Kostabi at CSU Fullerton. He had established his assimilation-of-Leger-as-a-mar­keting-tool aesthetic early on. That was the late 1970's. The rest is an unimaginative, though obviously lucrative, history.

The unfortunate issue here is that the art world, like everything else, is a commodities market. Either you kiss their elite asses and become somewhat successful or you tell them to go screw themselves and starve.

Actually, Kostabi does paint his own paintings, again: You folks are only familiar with his self-created '80s myth of being just a factory owner. He was an excellent draughtsman as a teenager and a consummate Painter---you have to look at his early works, from 1982 and before, when he was painting 14-16 hours a day. That he later hired assistants to help is no big deal: Rembrandt did this, all of the Old Masters did.

Have some respect. Maybe you need to use your CRAYONS MORE. Typical , you must be a failed "intellectual artist." In other words- you are jealous,and shit at the same time. To use "accolades" and "peeps" in the the same paragraph shows the range of your ignorance.

The artist Connelly comes across as a huge boor and bore. No wonder he's been tossed on the rubbish heap. Peeps can just take so much of him before running away. I encourage everyone to forget about this talented failure and find someone else more worthy of accolades.
