This is kind of ridiculous-where are the kids getting the money to pay for the high tuition costs to fund this stuff? Oh, yeah. the government loans program. Students can borrow whatever they want, and colleges take that extra money and fund extravagant things like water slides. It's like having a huge crop of very wealthy students-except most of these students aren't wealthy.
College isn't supposed to be an amusement park, but thanks to big gov., colleges can add all these amenities .
@tigerhop Could imagine Harvard, Yale, and those prestigious academia with these waste of time and money? Those prestigious universities does not have time for this....They really study!
@TTUchic2 right, but I would have been a wise use of another 2 million dollars to enclose the pool so it could be pen year-round. I'd pay $66 (2 million divided by 30,000 students) to be able to use it during the middle January ;)
Oh, come on. We would have been thrilled to have even had any pool when I was there. And it has nothing to do with tuition. Every state college costs the same. Tech is just trying to give you more perks for your buck. It's not like Lubbock has much else to offer. LOL
