I avoid violence at all times. but if this revolution of freedom calls for direct actions, then I support the Oakland Commune. I can feel their emotions.
weak, punk-ass white kids who have never thrown down when the shit got real. where was all this bad-ass-ness when the cops started crackin heads for all the shit that YOU did? oh yeah, you ran back to the vanilla suburbs and let others take those lumps for you!
the destruction neither scares NOR impresses me. see, i actually grew up with REAL warriors, not cowards who break shit and run, folks who put in on the line with their LIVES. i grew up in the REAL shit. i'm battle-tested. are you?
I've never seen a CEO, or a lawyer, or an accountant fix a window or scrub out spray paint. It is the janitorial staff and day-laborers who will come clean up after these kids. Many of those are undocumented workers. Breaking shit only creates additional toil for the most marginalized people in our society. Nice one guys.
With corporations cutting jobs left and right, workers need all the help they can get. Vandalism CREATES jobs in ways trickle-down economics never does. If someone has to clean up the mess, that's one more task for someone who might otherwise not be able to get the hours of work they need to pay their bills.
You must be a very ignorant and privileged person to not know this firsthand.
I'm against all the violence in this video that takes place against those poor windows. In fact, I think we should organize peace teams armed with clubs and knives and whoever is seen acting violently (breaking windows, spray-painting, shouting) should be stabbed and beaten while we all chant "Peace! Peace! Peace!". We should fetishize the word peace and physically defend the private property of the 1% against those proletariat book-reading ninjas in black. Long live American privilege!
Capitalism isn't the problem. Crony-capitalism where banks get bailed out instead of go into bankruptcy or when the politicians are owned by the corporations, corporatism, is the problem. You runined the video with that. Also, Black Bloc are nothing to be proud of...
Those smashing the windows in ninja masks do not represent my views. I stand in solidarity with the majority of the protesters, those ones committed to peaceful protest. This is an excellent way to do damage to the legitimate anarchists who would like to see real change. If you feel the need to smash random property, you can do so at anytime, anywhere. Doing it in the middle of someone else's protest does nothing for either of us.
@Yeahyeah123ify this is a very tiny minority of a very large movement to take back our government from those who've bought it from those who didn't own it in the first place. this is a propaganda video in favor of these destructive tactics. this represents the true beliefs of a group within the larger movement of people.
The black bloc is not helpful for this movement. Moving hundreds of thousands of people to credit unions, costing the banks billions of dollars, that helped the movement. Breaking windows does not. Windows do not cost billions of dollars.
You want a class war? That's cool. Gimme a few minutes, gotta load up all my AR mags and prepare my smoke grenades. You want socialism? You're welcome to try. All I'm gonna say is, we'll see how truly bent on achieving socialism you truly are and whether your blood truly is red.
Violence and destruction of property are antithetical to the battle we must win in order to make a more perfect society. I can sympathize with the frustration and certainly don't fault individuals for being angry, but riotous behavior does nothing to win hearts and minds for our cause. Our enemy in this fight is corruption, which is not a fight which can be easily won by reckless abandon. Who really benefits from hoodlums breaking stuff to look tough, if not the banks to accuse us of barbarism?
amazing complication, very motivated to head to my nearest occupy event now, distrust all in whom the impulse to punish is powerful, fear is the mother of morality
hey folks. no thanks. broken windows and spray paint may have felt good for you and the ego - but it does nothing to smash the system your fighting - who is going to clean up after you? not the corporate elite - minimum wage service workers. The media loves this and you know it. What you've done here is compromise the work of your comrades - comments welcome.
@mycatagro I guess if we're going to use those sorts of rhetorical points, you could say these rioters are giving the minimum wage service workers more work/hours in a building which is run by people who will perpetually give them less work and hours as fast as they can.
Fight like a brave! Good to see the Occupy movement and Black Bloc in solidarity against the police that defend the corrupt state and it's degenerate corporate backing! We NEED more strikes across the country and less whining about peaceful protests. If they wanna come for a fight, let 'em have it. The people can only be violent in self-defense against the violence of the state oppressing them. It is not violence, it is self-defense.
@WhenWillYouCrack actually, i see threats and violence against those showing opposition to these tactics. plenty of people have reported being threatened and pushed around in their efforts to either record or speak out against these actions. whether i agree with the actions or not is immaterial. as part of the 99%, a person has the right to disagree with these actions without feeling threatened or being physically assaulted.
I avoid violence at all times. but if this revolution of freedom calls for direct actions, then I support the Oakland Commune. I can feel their emotions.

Non-violence doesn't work because cops will not bow down to people dancing in the streets. Even then this can't even be classified as violent.
Force and pressure against are need to bring about social change as always.

no anarcho syndicate/communist flags or any of the anarcho-* variants.
unable to organize into a political body.
if driven from the streets, movement is non-existent.
