  • Oh my gosh... Literally the exact same staging as the Broadway production, right down to the turn at 3:33...

  • I loved the Norman Bates by way of Marqui de Sade line! best added line in a musical XD

  • I am obsessed with your schools Dirty Rotten scoundrels performance... Lawrence and Freddy are AMAZING. We are doing the play next year and i hope it ends up as good as yours!!

  • very well done i think, can you post oklahoma? i love that scene

  • saw bye bye birdie last nite (at flhs of course!) and i must say i still like dirty rotten scoundrels more!!..esp this scene! haha

  • ...however, I must mention the fact that this number and most of the other numbers from this HS production I have seen on youtube are EXACT replicas of the Broadway production. Exact same choreography and staging. Perhaps a more creative approach would have been more refreshing and require a little extra work on the part of the production staff. Just sayin'.

  • @gjurich4

Actually, the staging is much the same as the Joe Piscopo "production" from Patchogue. The production team viewed [and took notes] of that version. Now, if THEY did the same staging as Broadway.. that explains why this show looks like Broadway. You neglected to comment that the scenery also looks like Broadway's. That's because some of it IS! Cool, huh?

    This year's show will be Bye Bye Birdie. Not much [if any] is being stolen from the Broadway revival. Who would want to? ;-}}

  • nice...

  • I love this Ruprecht, he's so energetic<3

My school went to the International Festival as well, and personally. This was more entertaining :/

That DRS was a little dry :/

  • The school that I attend is doing Dirty Rotten Scoundrels again cause we have been invited to the 2010 International Thespian Conference in Nebraska! PLUS our director has no problem with an actor saying K-Y jelly on a rubber glove or anything that would please an audience.

  • That was such a failure without the real lyrics!!!!! The guy who plays Lawrence is WAY too overdramatic with the accent and the singing! The pit sounded ok but just screwed it up in the end!!!! Overall, not very good.

  • @Snowmuffin13 Yes, one big rotten failure!!

You try saying "K-Y Jelly on a rubber glove" to a high school audience.

No - - Lithgow IS "way too overdramatic."

Do you know the story-line? At this point Lawrence is "play-acting" so over the top to turn Jolene off.

I don't hear anything wrong with the orchestra.

    Who are you anyway?

  • Really humorous. I like the part with the ferret at the end.

Could you post more difficult vocal songs? I want to see how HIGH SCHOOL KIDS did songs like "Big Stuff", "Here I Am", and/or "Love is Your Legs". I'd have to change the key for my voice, did they do the same?

The "More We DAnce" would be a treat to see as well.

  • that was great. looks like it was a really fun show.

  • This was fun to watch. I hope you post more from the show.
