Nope. In game informer, it said he goes to a new country, and sees the assassins use zip cords. They give him a hok to attack to his blade, oddly enough, shaped like an eagle, and he can use it to get places faster than before.

It's put in front of the hidden blade, parallel to the body.So, it basically slides ou the same as the blade, and theres probably no logic behind how it comes out, but i dont really care. I miss playing as altair :( He was a mysterious bad ass .Made his character much more interesting. Even though we don't know much on him. Btw.. i think my theory on ACR to why Altair is mentioned in this series is because Altair maybe somehow created and recorded a hologram or voice inside the apple of eden to show the future assassin's what he found in the codex's & from the templar plans.
