  • I recommend moving the plate to the back of the ramp. It will get smashed where it is.

  • Hi Chad, very nice trailer, I'm dying to see what your going to be hauling home in it! take care of you back...

  • The fan shroud is pretty important. it allows the fan to pull the heat properly, hence the design of it (about the size of the fan itself).

  • Looks great!

  • I would recommend air shocks for the marquis. That way they would be adjustable for each load.

  • @duffy630 It actually had air shocks from the previous owner but they had completely sagged down and I had regular ones put on it...I may need to look at getting better shocks/springs on it.

  • Wow, what a nice trailer! Don't forget to practice backing up with the trailer hitched up, in case a situation arises where you need to back it up.

Also pleeeease lubricate the car door hinges before I go crazy, LOL.

  • just a little tip: when you put the load on the axle, you have to take care that the load won`t slide in your trunk when you do an emergency break. Believe it or not: most people don`t do it and they regret it later

  • @19FD89 I always have put ratchet straps on the cargo to keep it from moving around...you're right, a lot of cargo in trucks and trailers I see is not secured very well.

  • great idea!

  • hey chad i see you put that shroud on ,,,good deal,,,,i figured it would help,,,the timing also like you said makes a big difference.....nice trailer!!!!

  • An empty trailer probably not going to affect your performance much. Very nice trailer, made in the U.S.A. You are going to want to get stiffer springs and/or shocks for the rear for anything more than an old washing machine.

  • Nice trailer. It seems weird for you to have something new, seeming as everything (or most things) you have are "retro" or "old".

  • @talldude123 You're right! But I was looking at used trailers and they were priced almost as much as I bought my new one for, plus the dealer took care of the title and registration for me.

  • I love that car.

  • nice trailer but not the kind i need lol

  • What did the trailer run you?

  • ★★★★★

That looks like a high quality trailer.

  • why guys crimp on triler wires.

    not heat shrink.il nevor understand

  • Just ditch the fan and shroud and install an electric fan.

  • That sounds like a great deal, certainly would be a lot easier to get things onto the trailer.

I will look out in the junkyards for a fan shroud if you want and send it to you if I am able to locate one.

Couldn't you pull it with the Ford pickup or do you need some adaptation for the trailer because the truck is higher?

  • one of these days ill be getting a trailer. i just picked up a little compact tractor and bushhog. thats a nice looking trailer. but you gotta be carfull especially if your hauling fragilethings on that trailer. alot of smaller trailers have no suspension and they bounce like something awful. i know this from borrowing a similar sized trailer. they have leaf spring kits available that will help though if you feel the need

  • I had a 1976 LTD that rarely got above 190 deg.

I hear the wind in the video. It's just as bad here in Central Texas.

  • Looks pretty sweet! Is it hard to learn how to drive with a trailer, it's a technique I'd like to learn.

  • good looking trailer , it is really nice compared to the 5x8's made around here , that one is kinda fancy with the diamond plate fenders and all ...make sure to re tighten those lugs after a few hundred miles , all new trailers will loosen ....
