Sure, it was annoying as hell, but that's what the game is about, being annoying but really satisfying when you succeed after failing umpteen billion times.

Agreed, although I personally felt like it was a bit harsh, because suddenly the "shit" weapons turn out to be better than the "awesome" weapons because the good weapons cost 10 times as much and wear out 5 times as fast, not to mention that if you level your characters properly they can slaughter everything no matter which weapons you use.

no way it got annoying as hell everytime i was in some cave like the deathclaw sanctuary and had to run to the nearest town every time my power fist broke. weapon degregation only works for balancing the amount of cash you have.

yeah but it's not a good idea in fallout. i mean,some of the weapons were sealed underground,yet they were somehow effected by the war and became the gun equivalent of someone with a bone-wasting disease. it's pretty pointless really. the rare guns end up falling to bits because they are rare then you end up resorting to your crappy 10mm again.
