  • OMG!! At 1:25 thats Amy Lee!! The best singing in the entire world!!

  • Your always appreaciated more after you die,.

  • who cares if he was or wasn't a mason!! sheat!! all that matters is his music!

  • Maybe he was trying to warn us?

  • Cash was NOT a Mason. I know.

  • Yay Amy Lee! (Well, Amy Hartzler)

I knew she was in it, so i watched it :)

  • I like how you libs are latching on to a conservative's song. Especially after he died.

Just cause he wasn't a fan of Vietnam doesn't mean he identified with you pussies.

  • That is Amy Hartzler ( Lee ) at 1:24 .

She purchased that long black coat from Tim Burton and filmed that Angel of Death sequence at Trinity church which was a few blocks from ground zero in Manhattan . The temperature was extremely hot that day and she near died in that long , black coat .

  • The woman at 1:24 is Amy Hartzler-Lee right?

  • This deserves 5 stars *****

    GOD BLESS++++ <3

  • If you listen to the lyrics and take notice of Jay Z and Keith Richards and the lyrics, "working in the dark against your fellow man." As well as the fact that Johnny was a freemason, then you might understand what this video is getting at.

  • Way to disrespect someone's memory, dude.

  • Hey isnt that amy lee ^_^ she looks nice in this video

  • lets meetup!

O_o You're right! lol Doesnt even look like a girl.. XD oD

  • goooood song ^^

  • im gonna send this vid to the iranian pres.

  • Why not send it to Dick Cheney? He was hiding under a bunker in North Carolina ordering NORAD to stand down on September 11th.

  • Johnny was no fan of American militarism.

Why don't you send this to Bush and Cheney. These 2 might benefit from it.

  • is it ok for iran to be so radical? to threaten israel with destruction. all the children. all the civilians. then a nuke hits. i condemn this not as an american, but as a christian. a christian who believes that we must do all we can to protect the defenseless.

  • As a christian and a human being, I too believe in looking after the defenseless.

Israel is not defenseless, they have nukes.

Iran has never attacked Israel or anybody else. It has every reason to fear and distrust us (and Israel). We brought down a democratically elected government of their's in the 1950's and brought in the murderous Shah. We supported Iraq (Sadam Hussein) against them in a 10 year slaughter.

So what would you like to happen? Another war in the Middle East?

  • If you think Israel defeseless than what have they spent so much of our Trillion dollar donations on? Have you been to Isarael. I was in the US Air Force and visited one of their Air Force bases, theirs is as good as ours, believe me. They can handle themselves.

  • lol

  • i love this song. when you tell people the truth it hurts and they attack. if this song bothers you, you're getting cut down. nuff said.

  • Who is the guy after iggy pop?

  • Kanye West?

  • he's a dick eh??

  • Best song ever!

  • I want Keith Richards to be my father!!

  • This video goes perfect with this song

  • ♥__♥ amy lee!!!

  • If you love this tune check out my cover on my Profile!!!

    would love some comments!!

    Cheers

  • fuckin johnny cash is the best?!??!?!?!?

  • texformer you're a fuckin idiot

  • boo

  • the man in black....cool

  • I wonder if all the celebs in this video are really Christian or just those that believe in GOD? Just believing in GOD does not make a person a Christian.

    James 2:19

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

  • True That

  • does it matter?

some might of been jewish for all you know

  • Have you met god? Have you spoken to him? Has he helped you beyond what you can do for yourself? No. Therefore - you don't know. I don't believe in anything I know, that's all I know. You should open your perspective, and think outside of the fucking box.

  • Don't know* Obviously.

  • Sounds like you need to open your perspective, and think out of the box. Hypocrite.

  • And that is why God's gonna cut you down. xD

  • Amy Lee's On The Video.. Cool =)

  • this song has helped me so much in dealing with what has happened to me in my life

  • LOVE this song! Good tribute to Johnny and God ^_^

  • Love it...freat song great video.... <3<3<3

  • omg lots of beautiful people!

  • Beautiful song, I love the fact that in his last years he recorded/covered anything he felt like doing. He put out some truly beautiful work, hurt, rusty cage...etc. The man stood for what he believed in and never backed down. How can you not admire a man for that.

  • I don't care whether or not you grew up with Johnny Cash or remember when he died. He will always be around. And there will always be people out there paying thanks to the man in black.

  • DON't these celebs know what the man is singing about!!!

(2 Thes.8) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

THAT's BIBLE; --But Johnny calls it being cut down--

  • the hells the celebs got to do with it

  • THATS ROCK N ROLL BABY

  • I love the video. I love the song. I love the sound. It is incredible. It speaks to racism, depression, poverty, classism, and a higher spiritual call u rarely hear in music these days.

  • Bono´s graffiti in the video reads : "the worst sinners make the best saints". We´re all morally bankrupt. Its just that celebirties acknowledge it publicly...

  • This video was retarded. I only wanted to see Amy Lee, anyway. What a disgrace to Cash's music. Just a bunch of cut-rate celebs who wouldn't know God if He bit them in the ass posing for camera time. But what do you expect from a boy-band hack like Justin?

  • VERY GOOD SONG

  • This video stinks. Nothing but a bunch of celebrities posing like nitwits, desperate to be associated with Johnny Cash, all of them totally unaware of how stupid they look.

  • FUCK U! dont diss amy lee for being there!

  • Desperate to be associated with Johnny Cash? hmm. yeah sure. they must be the ones who are desperate. Maybe you should get your facts straight because the celebrities were asked to do this, not the other way around.

  • actually you're wrong, it was an open invitation to representation agencies for anyone of their clients to star in the video. Not one person was asked directly

  • powerfulstuff, huh?

  • I think what they're trying to do with the celebrities is show the diversity of people that are affected by his music. Kid Rock, Tommy Lee, Chris Rock, Jay-Z, Flea, Johnny Depp, all the celebs they showed, they're all very different people with different styles, yet they all respected the man and his music. As for why it starts with the quote, it's a tribute video. Of course they're going to start with a quote.

  • Amy Lee (Of Evanescence) is so awesome! (at 1:19)

  • omg, i LOVE amy lee! the only reason why i looked this up is because when i watched mtv this morning, i was watching this video, not knowing what it was. and then Amy Lee appeared, and i was like OMG! lol. go Amy and the great band!

  • Baru,,Thats because Cash Can relate to there Struggle

    anyone whos been down understands

  • fuck u

  • Love the song...

I saw Rev Horton Heat in 94' when they toured with Blind Melon and Smashing Pumpkins. Great show.

  • I wish Mike Ness, Rev Horton Heat, and Danzig were in this. They openly state they were influenced by Johnny Cash and Ness and The Rev cover his songs all the time. Too bad they weren't "big" enough.

  • Great Song Shit Video - Egos flyin' all over the place

  • where's Trent Reznor?

  • love the song. YAY J. Cash!

((haha the middle image is Amy Lee's Eye!!! YAY!!))

  • ...To the person below...

Johnny Depp started out as a musician.

    So way to suck.

    Anyway.

    Johnny Cash is amazing.

    He inspired many people.

    May he rest in peace.

  • Hey jizzlejizzymcjizz! Johnny Cash was not a racist in anyway! If you read his book "Cash:The Autobiography" He says, He has never had a problem with anyone of another race and he Can't see why anybody does. He was even on the crusade to help free Nelson Mandela. I have researched the song you are talking about and it is sung by Odis Cochran & the Three Bigots.Probably some jackass on a downloading software labeled it as being sung by him. I suggest you do some research next time.

  • Johnny Cash will live forever

    even though he's dead

    if that makes sense

    ^_^

  • Johnny Depp actually plays guitar and has been for years...but ya I don't get the whole celebrity thing either.

  • what do famous people have any thing to do with this song?

  • Showing Respect.

  • lets take a great song and put in a bunch of random celebrities...wtf is wrong with this picture

Johnny Depp playing guitar? Seriously...come on

  • Johnny Depp's first love is music! Before he was an actor he was a musician, and still is. Chili Peppers ROCK!

  • Are you stupid Ken? None of these celebrities are "random" all of them have either had cash appear on a song or they appeared on a song of his or... they thanked him somewhere during thier careers. That sir is not%

  • Johnny Depp plays guitar. Before 21 Jump Street took off he was more interested in a career in music than on screen. He was in a band.

  • This Song Is a Legend

  • That's a cool song.

But what I don't understand is this: why does the video begin with a quote about the poor and the downtrodden, then go on to show us a lot of beautiful celebrities?

  • Good call -- I was wondering the same thing, myself.

  • The "poor and down-trodden" remark is a Cash-staple: see the song Man in Black.

The celebrity tie-in can only be people that were influenced by Cash, as the majority of them are musicians, or have ties to music in some way.

However, it is an interesting point.

  • I agree too...They should people, regular folks, struggling in this society,,not these rich people!!!

  • Wondeful song. Makes me want to buy the album.

  • Good song but the fact that he made a song called "ship those ni**ers back" turns me away from cash.

  • CASH never ever said something like that. This song was sung/written by David Allan Coe. No need to turn away from CASH.

  • Johnny Cash neither wrote nor recorded that song. It is wrongly attributed to him. The song is by Odis Cochran and the Three Bigots.

  • Correction, Johnny Cash did record that song. Please check the last American Recordings album, you will find it is on there. Thanks for your time.

  • ....

I have checked; care to elabortae?

Further more; the man that helped found Sun Records as a racist? Anyone that knows the significance of Sun Records knows that accusing Cash of racism is like trying to fit a square peg into a flat piece of solid wood.

If I am stood to be corrected, so be it.

  • elaborate*

And he didn't help start Sun; my mistake. He helped establish them.

  • The album is American Recordings V, A Hundred Highways, track 2, produced by Rick Ruben. I'm saying he wrote it, but he did cover it and recorded it on that album.

  • track 2 on a hundred highways is the one you commented on.

    God's gonna cut you down.

Now,you just listened to the effing song, can you point to the deportation bit?

  • well... aren't you special.

  • "Just as God made black and white, all that is done will be brought to the light."

    -Casey Cannon

  • i really like this song.

  • I see famous people.

  • that is so amazing i cried

  • Brilliant.

    Thanks for adding this.

  • good song good video

  • Not a big fan But this song is Great

  • Amazing!
