Think Billy Smith of the Islanders was credited with a goal the same way in 1979 against the Colorado Rockies (now the NJ Devils). There was a delayed penalty on the Isles but the Rockies put the puck into their own net on an errant pass after Smith stopped a shot on goal.

I think the Flyer skater shot it on goal to Marty and it came back to the Flyer skater. An attempted pass was off Rafalski's skate. So the Flyer skater get the puck and tries to pass it to the other player which he does. But when that Flyer skater tried to pass it back to the other Flyer skater, it went into the open net and Marty was the last one to touch the puck by a stick on the Devils.

It's true. The Flyers do suck. Look at all the great player's they've had since the mid-90s. Lindros, Forsberg, LeClair, Brind'Amour, Coffee, Gagne, Primeau, Desjardins, Recchi, Amonte, Roenick, Johnsson, Renberg, and Therien. They would all kick ass during the regular season and vanish in the playoffs. They came dead last a while ago, and now they're improving, but they still haven't accomplished anything in decades.

Second of all, going back to whoever touches the puck on the scoring team last, that means that it can go off a skate or something like that. It will be that persons goal. It's only waved off if it is an intent of kicking or using an article besides the stick. Way to go and say people should watch more hockey

It was a delayed penalty on the Devils. As soon as the devils control the puck, the play would have been blown dead. The puck went off Raflaski's skate and ended up in the Flyers zone. Another Devils player hit the stick of the Flyer that had the puck and that caused the Flyers stick to move backwards, hitting the puck into the net. So the Devils player never touched the puck.
