I watched a documentary about plato's retreat, a guy in the documentary said the madrass rom (a rom where people had orgy sex) was the moraly hardest rom to be in. I noticed he used the word moraly. People who engage in activities like this are fighting their own conscience. Adultery is wrong.
god bless the 70s you had so much more then go to a bar now can't snort coke off a table like then, cant go to theatres like you can now, when did we get supressed in our sexuallity and fun, oh yeah, the gov't. fkn bastards
Is it just me or did people just look grimy back in the 70's? And I don't just mean because these people were pervs. I am talking in general. I look at pics of my family from back then, and we just looked grimy.
LOL I always say the same thing. It's like the whole world had no color and everything looked like it was happening in 90 degree weather or something.
Does anyone have more information about Electra? I'm writing a paper for a class upon the subject of "leisure spas" and would like any info at all. There should definitely be a database with this information.
That last clip of the Orleans Theatre on 47th St. It seems like it should have been on 42nd street instead...LOL! By the way, how far was the Orleans from 42nd Street?
As a native New Yorker, thanks for the great video and the memories. Hey, at least Times Square had more character and attitude back then, better than the dull, deadbeat, corny sorry-ass Disneyland it is today. Crank up that time machine,manhattan85, I'm going with ya'!!!!
If I could take one impossible vacation in my life, it would be obtaining a time machine and traveling back to NYC in 1977. The first time I went to New York was as an 11-year old in 1986 and my dad told me Times Square was "full of porn." I didn't know what it meant then.
Damn I miss the 70's (though I was just a kid)
