Earl King or Snooks??? Who dat be more betterer?????? Be careful and do some research before jumpin' at a conclusion because I'm down here in Nawlens and am very judgmental.
So cool, thank you for uploading. I just discovered Snooks a few days ago. Glad to see some of his stuff is here on YT. I hear that he was a major influence on Dr. John. I wonder if Johnny Winter is a fan of Snooks too??
I was brought to the rock-n- bowl by some friends and saw this guy and I never stopped loving his music since. He sings and plays with such feeling it always satisfies. Sad to hear today he passed. condolences to his friends and relations. He should be recognised as a NO hall of famer. B
I just saw Jon Cleary (the pianist in this video) at a show tonight and he mentioned that Snooks had passed recently. So sad. Although I never actually "saw" him live I got to hear him play at Rock and Bowl back in 2005. It was so crowded I never saw Snooks, but at least I can say i was there!
RIP Snooks. You were a Jazz Fest find of mine many years ago and I have been a fan ever since. Yet another piece of my New Orleans is gone. I mourn the lose.
Guys can u imagina being able to listen to this on a daily live? It's a blessing. i can remember sitting on the floor in my mothers living room watching my uncle play.
This raise the bar for R & B guitar on You Tube a bunch. Snooks my fav R & B guitar player of ever. Finally seeing/hearing on YouTube might allow me to explaing to friends why I love him so as they've never heard him or heard about him
