Honestly, i tihn kEvanescence is a good band. And, by that, I mean Amy Lee is pretty talented. (Let's be serious, there's absolutely no way they are an actual band after so many changes. Maybe in the future) But, I don't think she was cut out to be a performer. She was just made to make good studio albums but her voice can't handle playing live in an arena. So many fans are in constant denial of her not being able to handle singing live. But, the truth is, she can't.

Yeah, she was showing a lot of attitude. But you've got to put it into context. I was right down the front, and the area was mostly filled with Maiden fans staking out their place for later on. And some of them were okay, but there were pockets of complete assholes who were just chanting for Maiden, throwing bottles of piss and yelling for Amy to get her tits out, so it's little wonder she was getting a little pissed off about it all.
I was front row for this only person around me singing every single word to every single song, i nearly died through lamb of god, stonesour and killswitch to get there but managed to push my way through around 50,000 people to the front :-)

theres no way i could judge the performance of the music, it was amazing. but amy lee had a right little attitude, and they mostly played songs only fans that bought their album or something would know. i dont think they realised that it wasnt a real concert for them- not everyone came to the festival to see them play. i reckon they would've done better if they had stuck to really famous/popular songs and got a good ol' singalong going.
Hey the whole point of a damn tour is to support the album that is currently on sale and like she said the fans are the reason that they even went to that festival. The only reason she had an "additued" if you will is because she was sticking up for her rights to be in artist. True, the performance was a bit weak at some moments, but overall it was a great show! I can't imagine how unnerving it would be up there on stage....

listen i'm not sticking up for because I love the band.
but you.. you fucking stand up there with a mixed crowd, most wanting to see Iron Maiden, and the true fans... its intimdating. ESPECIALLY with a crowd that big. Yes they played a show that maybe people thinks they shoudldn't have. But you know what. that speech was NEEDED. and I'm glad she said it.

Yeah gabyy67, that's true. Many people were throwing bottles on the stage when she had a piano up there. I love Evanescence, because they're unique. For the Iron Maiden fans, they're gonna have to accept the fact that they can't have the stuff that they want live. And if they complain, fuck them!

I can honestly say I didn't like this band.
She sounded rather whiney, and kept saying the
wrong things to the crowd. She needed to shut
the fuck up to be honest.. Considering she said
Something about her band having been the only ones
with melody.. I think her being the only female on
main stage, went to her head. She was also contradicting every god damn thing she was saying.

i was at the front, and she was pretty fucking amazing. the only reason the crowd wasnt 100% with her was because iron maiden were on after her. she sounded great though.

Honestly, i tihn kEvanescence is a good band. And, by that, I mean Amy Lee is pretty talented. (Let's be serious, there's absolutely no way they are an actual band after so many changes. Maybe in the future) But, I don't think she was cut out to be a performer. She was just made to make good studio albums but her voice can't handle playing live in an arena. So many fans are in constant denial of her not being able to handle singing live. But, the truth is, she can't.

Not true. I saw them live and she sung just fine. It was amazing. Everybody has their moments, though. THAT'S what people need to realize. Not everybody is going to have a great show every time. But no one sucks every time, either. Unless they have 0 talent. LOL Which isn't the case here.

Yeah, she was showing a lot of attitude. But you've got to put it into context. I was right down the front, and the area was mostly filled with Maiden fans staking out their place for later on. And some of them were okay, but there were pockets of complete assholes who were just chanting for Maiden, throwing bottles of piss and yelling for Amy to get her tits out, so it's little wonder she was getting a little pissed off about it all.

I was front row for this only person around me singing every single word to every single song, i nearly died through lamb of god, stonesour and killswitch to get there but managed to push my way through around 50,000 people to the front :-)
she was fucking AMAZING. Her attitude was great and by end of show even people who had been slaggin them off were like "actually they're not that bad"!!!

I thought she was awesome. However she was acting wierd. I loved the songs, especially Lacrymosa. She should have done my immortal, however that isn't festival music and people woul have 'fell asleep' like she said. I enjoyed it alot.

evanescence kinda... sucked.
theres no way i could judge the performance of the music, it was amazing. but amy lee had a right little attitude, and they mostly played songs only fans that bought their album or something would know. i dont think they realised that it wasnt a real concert for them- not everyone came to the festival to see them play. i reckon they would've done better if they had stuck to really famous/popular songs and got a good ol' singalong going.

Hey the whole point of a damn tour is to support the album that is currently on sale and like she said the fans are the reason that they even went to that festival. The only reason she had an "additued" if you will is because she was sticking up for her rights to be in artist. (I bet you'd be one of the idiots throwing bottles of piss at them) Amy had a right to give that little speech and she rocks because she did that...

i threw nothing of the sort.
and all i was saying was that other bands did much better because they panned out their stagetime more efficiently.
however i only stayed through about 3/4 of their set because i was bored, and couldnt be bothered to listen to them whilst waiting for billy talent. i do feel for her with all those maiden fans wanting her to shut the hell up, though.

but would you rather have her be bored and play the song 50 billion times? My Immortal wasn't even her song which is why she hates playing it. My point is that the fans arent everything sure they are the main thing that keeps the band alive by selling records and what not but that band has to love what they do. I personally thing Evanescence is amazing live sure amys not perfect but who the hell is?would you rather have her lipsynching like some ashely simpson wannabe?

to stick up for her band... thats the whole point of having a band. If you're just going to give up you're never going to make it in life. I think its awesome that Evanescence got to play in a metal festival... get over it. and lithium is not your typical ballad its a rock ballad. thats why they played it. You can't please everyone i guess
