Trip to the Dentist getting fillings

Nah I got fillings today and they can only do the shot (it is way better then an arm shot) or u go through pain and the drill is just really annoying but it doesnt it :)

@bigwaper Depends on how big the cavity is... If its medium sized they won't give you pain medications or shots, the pain is sharp.

I currently have 2 little puny cavities and they dont require freezings with that damn needle going into your gums... thank god.. all I'll ever feel is just a little feeling when it feels like that your teeth are trapped under ice and a tiny drill going into my teeth that have the cavities.. it really doesnt hurt that much, only that fucking needle does.

they dont even have to inject u i was working myself up so much and crying cause my mom told me it would hurt but it really dont they suction ur teeth so u cant talk for a couple mins after it but when the drill it just tastes funny

@royalblowno We use it in Germany as the most common filling material. I always avoid "mercury free" dentist offices, nobody will ever be allowed to put something else than amalgam into my teeth.....

@TheOwlDaddy I've had "Silver fillings" for years now...and me no likey having tinnitus, excessive saliva, heart murmur etc...the health problems are nearly impossible to pin point to fillings since mercury suppresses the immune system and rather allows these ailments to set in, I didn't start searching for answers till after these problems couldn't be rectified...

@TheOwlDaddy Indeed their are liars out there...but like I said, I've experienced this first hand and come to my own conclusion, I don't really care what people say or think..if they aren't poisonous than w/e it's my mouth, and if I want another materiel to ease my mind I will...And on average the plastic fillings can last just as long, granted your dentist isn't awful and trying to get you to come back asap...I'll probably get ceramic/porcelain fillings, but thank you for your insight.

lol I got my fillings today and you don't feel anything. They put a stick in your mouth at the start with some gel in it. After that they get the needle (I wasn't even paying attention and I didn't even know they already pricked it), and they obviously, prick it. After that they just pick away at your tooth and I started laughin for some reason but meh it was relaxing. Oh btw try whistling or putting your top lip over your bottom when you're done lol

@sweetchick12ify do not worry about a thing i had one done today and it is all good the only thing you will feel is a little pinch with the shot.trust me i was just like you but after the shhot you dont feel a thing

i just got 2 fillings today, the worst part was getting the shot. its didnt really hurt. but the worst part to me actually is the numbness. but fillings dont hurt!

Ok. fillings DONT hurt at all. i had to get 5 on my left side. ha ya but i had really tiny fillings. i had to have this stuff that they put on my nose and it makes me relaxed. the shots dont hurt cuz that pink stuff on the cutip is stuff that nums u up!!! i have to go back and two on my right side. well i hope that help (:

That dentist office looks SCARY lol mine doesnt look like that.But I thought u had to get all dental work completed BEFORE they can put braces on you....or did you just get cavities during the time u had braces??

and I got my tooth pulled last week and when they numbing wore off i felt not one bit of pain, I never had a filling tho but Im getting some next week..I have ALOOOOOT of fillings to get, ur so lucky. I need like 14!! :(

You are absolutely right to hate so called silver fillings. That is the terminology used to deceive the patients since the biggest ingredient by far is mercury and not silver.

If some dentist asked you if it was OK to implant a time-release mercury plug in your tooth you'd check to see if it was April fools day or something but unfortunately 50 tons of mercury in the US are stuffed in teeth with the most people not even knowing it.
