Some people think it makes electronic drums respond better, and/or gives better bounce on the mesh pads. I haven't played electronic kits enough to confirm or deny this though.

It is just that I am used to it. I used to play in a Ska / reggaeband. In ska / reggae you play the rimclick a lot. Then you play with a crossed stick. I still do that :)

Thanks for your comments, I have paid over $2000 all together but it's really worth it. When I had my "rubberpad-kit" I didn't play for about 2 years untill I bought my meshpads @ ebay...

First of all what's wrong with the backward stick. I used to do that when I played reggae because of the crossstick. I get used to it and that's why I play backwards...

I started with the Roland TD3-KV kit wich costed my 1k euro. I bought the 2x PD100 and the 2x PD120 for about 800 dollar through ebay... so thats pretty much money :-) I hooked it up to addictive drums wich gives great sound !!!
