I dont see what peoples problems are with the Graphics, that Risen 3D and Jdoom offer.

When you have all the detailed packs installed the game looks decent, ok its no Gears of War 3.

But when you play the Original Doom in say Zdoom on LCD/LED displays at over 1024X Res the old sprites and textures do not look good on those newer large resolution displays, the old doom looks good on CRTs with 1024X or less resolution mind!

People play Doom because it's Doom! While it would be nice to have the exact same game with more pixels squeezed in the same space, this is just a different game with a different engine, an inferior knock-off. I think you'll find this won't be very popular.

the character sprites...ugly as hell. Your thumbs look like squares... just horrible, however, the music is good! The map levels look very high res and not bad looking, especially when you beat the level...that Map is very awesome detailed looking as well.

All they have to do is fix the character sprites to make them more like Doom 3, and then this game would look much better, but I agree with everyone else...you are better off playing the real Doom.

@NeoTStyle True. I like how the medikits always turned so you can look at it. So called "Billboard sprites". I like that DooM doesn't use any kind of filter. If you try out the OpenGL mode in many sourceports you'll set it back to software ASAP. :)

It looks like you're playing Doom using the Doomsday Engine port. I love the modern look of the graphics in this port. However, shame on you for cheating by enabling jumping to get through E1M4. That's just wrong. :P
